For some time I have been lusting after one of Todd Begg's offerings. I had pretty much made up my mind to buy one of the blue/gold Glimpse 5.5 models although what I really wanted was the black/gold Bodega. Well, today I got an email from them telling me that the black/gold Bodega was back - so I broke down and bought one. "Features a Cerakote fluted blade and a carbon fiber handle that has been given our scallop pattern for added grip. Jeweled ice finish on gold anodized 6AL4V titanium lock, back spacer, and clip. Includes IKBS with ceramic ball bearings."

I know that it will be awhile before it gets here, but worth the wait. I am stoked!

Got that email too. Almost broke my own rule about not spending more than $1000 on a knife, but Christmas would suffer greatly :(

Congrats on it though man, it's gonna be one hell of a knife for you!

I also received the same email this morning and was surprised. I have one of the original Black and Gold Bodega’s, the original model Bodega prior to the Field Grade Bodega models.
What’s so surprising is that a few months ago I had to send my knife to them because I screwed up my lock bar. (Don’t want to get into that right now, my bad)
Anyway they made me a new Lock Bar but told me that they couldn’t guarantee a match to the original black color lock bar. They had done one other knife with the gold crushed ice finish but need to confirm with the other owner if he minded they did another one for me. As it turned out they were able to anodize mine in gold with the crushed ice finish; I believe mine is 1 of 2 original Black & Gold Bodega’s with this gold lock bar. Apparently Begg Knives liked the looks so much they decided to make a Field Grade Black and Gold Bodega; very nice at a more affordable price.

Thanks, guys. :) Can't wait to get it in.

skyhorse, you get any snow down your way? We got over 9" up here - wet and heavy stuff.

Great catch - congrats.
Will you use it?

Yep. I plan to carry and use it. Too pretty to put in the safe and not use. For really hard use, I will probably grab one of my other knives but plan to use this in my regular EDC rotation.

Beautiful knife. I missed on the original offering and have kicked myself ever since. Looks like you really made out OK on that one. Says much for their CS.

I called and talked to them about making me a custom black and gold but that never came to be for several reasons. When I got that email, I immediately placed the order. Not gonna miss out again. :D

Usually not a big fan of gold, but that looks great. Seems like it could have used some gold on the front too though.
Do they already have them finished, or are they just going to start making them again.

That's the coolest Bodega out there. Nice snag.

I dunno. I understand that there is an 8 - 10 week wait but they also call this a limited edition. So, I'm not sure but based on that I would guess that they don't already have them finished. But I'm guessing...

Thanks, Chris! :)

Love the knife.

Sick tat.
I should definitely go get a balisong on my arm.
