Broke my first Busse.....

I've seen Busse take care of things like that before, possibly regrind it into a tanto point.

As Andy isn't local, the shipping costs probably aren't worth it though.

Andy the Aussie Andy the Aussie these types of repairs can make fun, really pointy tantos. I repaired a test knife that way once and it worked out really well. As you continue to use and sharpen it, it starts looking more like the original profile as long as you sharpen the tip as if it was a regular knife. They can be quite pokey.
........ honestly the shipping is not too bad (take COVID delays out of the mix just now thought), but as I said earlier I always had no doubt that I would be taken care of should I have asked however there is part of me that simply says "not their issue" or "fix your own f'up idiot". And I hope most all realised that I started this thread to make fun of my own stupid self not as an indictment on either the knife or company (both of whom don't disappoint - honestly that knife should have broken in half years ago given the mistreatment it has had).
The boss really just wants a drink with one of Andy's knives
..........this is what worries me.....if the knife got too drunk it might start to tell stories..... ;)

The Shop has been known in the past to keep knife blanks for the purpose of future warranty work in event of catastrophic damage. With the explosion of models over the last some years that may not be true anymore. Generally speaking, if a model is no longer available and your knife cannot be fixed, then you would get a shop credit equal to the original retail price.
I stand to be corrected but I think that if your knife is no longer made or a blank was in stock you would be offered your choice of something similar in size and calibre first?
