Oh wow. I had no clue he did that kind of lock. Gorgeous knife!

I got a knife! Blade and screws new! Unfortunately frame is not repaired. :(
Watch the video. Knife develops itself. The frame does not hold the blade.

It happened the same with a Small.
CRK responded immediately and I trade it for a new knife.

I am very happy for you! I really hope that Chris will repair the knife.
Due to poor fixation of the blade sebenza today I put the blade on my fingers and cut myself. :(

There's no excuse for that at all, not when you detailed the issue when sending it in. I would be making a phone call and talking to someone in charge.

Unfortunately, he's in Russia, so it's not as quick or easy to make the call or send the knife back. :(

Yeah, I gotta say it is disappointing that the knife made it past Quality Control at CRK before being sent back to you. Given CRK's reputation for excellent customer service I do believe they will make this right. Being so far away has to be a pain in the backside, though.

Thank you all for your support! Today parcel from Moscow will go back to Boise.
Unfortunately I do not speak English so well to talk to. Especially the description of the technical details.
I am sure that everything will be fine!

I do not understand how the knife passed quality control. I hope this will not happen again.

I have a question. In this forum, there is a representative of CRK?

Thanks!

This entire Manufacturer's Forum is devoted to Chris Reeve Knives and the moderators of this forum are basically the Chris Reeve Knives Company. I'm curious about the how the knife broke. The only thing I can think of is that you originally received a knife with a very small fracture where the thumb stud was pressed into place, and under moderate to heavy use, the blade fractured all the way. But then how do you explain the lock bar indentation which is causing the blade to close prematurely? I haven't seen anybody with that problem. It looks like the lock bar sustained a hard hit or something....

Do not use the knife and send it immediately to CRK.
They will respond.

Native blade was no such problem. Frame worked well. Was the only backlash of the blade. The backlash due to wear frame.
Knife strokes are not subjected. Knives I use very carefully.
About very small fracture can not say anything. I have not watched the knife under a magnifying glass.
I think the blade is not fixed due to the fact that it is not well done the shape of the heel of the blade and due to wear frame.
I'm not sure. I am no expert.

Thank you for your support. Very friendly forum.

That is terrible that it left the factory like that in the first place, but them sending it back to you from warranty in that condition is inexcusable and I would personally be raising hell with them right now. It is unfortunate that you are in Russia and communicating with them is not very easy. I really hope they fix this for you. I would personally be asking for a new knife in exchange and possibly a upgraded model for your trouble and all the shipping cost. Just my opinion though.

In our country (Russia) guarantee often does not work. Attitude towards the customer is not very good.
So I am glad under warranty (free) changed the blade and the screws.

I really hope that CRK repair knife under warranty (or send me a new knife ;) ).
