In our country (Russia) guarantee often does not work. Attitude towards the customer is not very good.
So I am glad under warranty (free) changed the blade and the screws.
I really hope that CRK repair knife under warranty (or send me a new knife).
Unfortunate situation, but I applaud your patience and gratefulness regarding the matter although I know you're frustrated. We in the US become accustomed to the "microwave society" and forget how others in other countries may not have it so good. They will make this right as it's certainly a warranty fix, and I wouldn't be surprised to see them take care of you in some other ways too...without any hell having to be raised.
