I have a Brous order pending..... but right now I have no received anything.
I have ordered a knife, and pay the first rate in 8 of april......
He send me an email where he say that the knives was ready and would be leaving soon.
but to date I have had no response from Mr. Brous.
The last email I received was 22 May, where he said, that he would be shipped within 3 days.
Since then, no news, even though I asked for the tracking number.......

I would wait a little longer, international shipping is tricky. I mailed a knife to Europe a few months ago that took almost a month to get there!

Jason's communication may be a bit slow at times due to how busy he is, but his knives are well worth the wait.

Call him. I have an issue with my Reloader, I called him and he answered right away and is taking care of me. I find he is slower responding to emails

Most guys are a one man shop. So you machine and grind all day (while being required to answer calls or people get pissed). Then after a 10-12 hr day you have to go through all the emails of the fans as well as customers, so this usually gets put off to when time is available (if). So if you want them, call them. Waits get longer the more interruptions. Hopefully as successful as Jason has become he can take on an admin at some point if he hasn't already. His fame as come fast, so sometimes it's hard to catch up. And international ship times do suck. Best of luck.

i understand i sweat shipments all the time - i had $3000 plus claims, one or more with DHL, USPS, FEDEX and UPS. Ya, talk about worry.

Read the thread of the guy that refused shipment out of country. Brous Blades took care of him when he should refunded maybe half. He is A1 seller! I do not know him or have anything vested.

note: FEDex was the worst never ship anything expensive with fedex! The rest where ok but slow.

anyways....... read the email from the guy in canada that refused shipment!!!
Plus canceled the order !!!!!

Seems he, J B, bent over backwards:

This guy did not deserve a penny IMHO - or manybe half refund. So I am sure your knife is fine.

i say trust is 100% with borous from my research looking into one of his knives

Heck, you wait a year or more for custom zt!!!!!!!

You be fine!!! He is moving blades!

Meanwhile, I opened a dispute on Paypal.
And immediately he sent me an e-mail.
But as soon as I told him, I wanted to be refund, he had never responded.

Now, it's been six days .... I have to wait much longer?

I can't imagine the headaches custom knife makers as well as manufacturers have to deal with on a daily basis, but if our own busy lives are any indication, it's simply a trade off of an office environment filled with stress to a shop filled with stress. Paypal will get you your money back, if you have any questions you should be directing them all to paypal on your own. For future reference, if you want to buy a custom knife, maybe ask for feedback before you jump in head first. It might save you, the knife maker, and the forums a ton of headaches. Your other recourse at this point is to pick up the phone and call him yourself. One final note to add some perspective, I've had to wait up to 18 months to get custom knives made. Why? Because the maker is that good and has that much demand. Unfortunately, with threads like these - you can't unring that bell.

RevDevil, you're right, but if he told me, I had to wait six months, I would have expected.
But he sent me an email saying that the knife was ready, and then pay the remaining (down payment, I had sent one month before) because he had to send.
Then when I asked for the tracking, has disappeared.
But when I sent the claim to paypal reappeared immediately, but it disappeared again when I requested a refund.
If it looks like a serious person....

Yesterday I received a refund from Brous.
Too bad though, that the money of the shipment and deposit, are not returned.
So, for 377$ paid, I've had back only 279$.
I can understand that the deposit of 50$, he keep it for future purchases, but why even 48$ shipping, which perhaps will never do?

I do not think its a serious thing, I think its a steal.

It doesn't help that he steals designs. I'll post it again if need be. His "new" flipper is a ripoff of a phantom steelworks knife that Chris made.

That seems like a fairly negative assumption, especially considering that there are only so many ways to make a functional blade design. I looked through Phantom Steelworks site and didn't see anything that looked remotely like Brous' Division Flipper. Could you point to an example to back your accusation?
