First off: THIS THING IS A BEAST! I have never been so happy when handling a new blade for the first time. I can not find even one thing to nit-pick about on this knife.

Fit and finish: The carbon fiber is perfectly executed. I cant speak for everyone but it fits my hand perfectly. The shape allows for a strong, secure grip and the ability to choke down on the blade if needed for smaller work. I can squeeze the knife tightly and shift my hand around, and there are NO hotspots on this thing. This happens to be a big deal to me, so I was pretty stoked. Lastly, the lockup is solid in every direction.

Flipping action: WOW!!! Smoothest knife I have flipped....ever. It is smoother than knives I have flipped that are more than three times the cost. I have not been able to find any info as to what type of bearing system is in this thing, but it is unbelieveable to say the least.

If you have a thing for large, smooth, impressive flippers...you should seriously consider the Brous Division Flipper.

^You will not regeret buying one. For the price, I feel like i ripped Brous off. lol

Too bad Brous steals his designs. That is a carbon copy of the Haunter fixed by poultergeist bw.

Congrats on the new knife.

I have #7 Division Flipper (Satin Blade).

I am a huge fan of Jason's work and also have a Blackout Silent Soldier as well.

Murdamook first off the design isn't identical and Jason didnt steal it.

Both Jason and Jakub spoke and worked everything out with no issues.

Yes they resemble each other, but so do a TON of other knives.

Just because its similar does NOT mean Jason stole the design.

Everytime a Brous thread comes up someone has to hate, when they don't even know the facts.

I have read the facts provided by Jakub and others including Mr. Willumsen regarding his reloader. From what I can tell, Jason hasn't cleared things up unless he did it in the past 30 days as that is the most recent piece of information I have found. As of 30 days ago, he was still in bad standing and hadn't apologized for any veiled threats, maltreatment of forum members, or intellectual property theft.

Similar shape, thats about the extent of the similarities. If someone could post a pic of the Haunter folded closed vs. the Division folded closed, then it would be easier to compare the......wait, one is a fixed and one's a folder. Thats a pretty significant difference.

That's a terrible retort. A folder can be a copy of a fixed blade. If Hinderer didn't make an XM folder but just the fixed blade and someone took the idea and created a folder that followed the same exact lines, people wouldn't cry thief? I promise you they would. A folder can have the same exact lines as a fixed blade to say otherwise is absurd. There is a VECP fixed as well as an XM fixed that follow the exact same lines. Regardless, Jason also has a custom fixed blade that follows the same lines as pbw's Reikon.

^^Its not meant to be a retort, as I am not really disagreeing with you. I, infact, have not even heard of any beef between these makers until now. I honestly just dont see that much resembelence between the two. They look as much alike to me, as the division looks like the kershaw tilt. I am not telling you that you are wrong, but people just see things differently. Get what I'm saying?

I understand what you're getting at. You just came off a little snappy so I responded in kind. What I am saying is that it was close enough to cause many people, other knife makers included, to cry foul. I see the similarities.

No harm, no foul. Sorry I came off snappy. The bottom line for me though, as a machinist by trade; is from a manufactuing standpoint, this knife is a homerun. I will definately be picking up a silent soldier framelock in the near future. Thanks for the info about what is going on though, I will be reading about it more in depth tomorrow.

Similar perhaps, but not what i'd call a "stolen design" and since only one is a folder, they don't even occupy the same niche

anyone who saw "Brous" come galloping onto the knife scene on a certain devilish forum, saw his attitude, and total lack of knife knowledge would not buy his overpriced production knives.(possibly midtech) If he had not been ripped apart there, his company would still be called "Kut Throat Knives, knives to kut throats"

Look at the choil area, they follow the exact same lines. Niche doesn't matter. The layout is purely pbw. Again, he has another fixed blade custom that is identical to the Reikon. He claims Willumsen and he "collaborated" on the reloader but Brous just paid him to use the design then claimed collaboration to sell more product.

More people involving themselves in knife politics instead of enjoying knives.
I like to know from whom I am purchasing. A persons character goes a long way. People are furious over Chinese fakes but no one seems to care when one custom maker snipes designs from another. Enjoying the hobby also involves elevating those who deserve the elevation and stopping those who would prevent that elevation. Buy what yoi want with your money but understand that the person your handing money to may be a person with a poor character.

I was very interested in this knife when I first saw it and I liked the short review posted on it. I know nothing of the politics nor of the makers of these knives and those they resemble. I will do more research on my own about it before I buy one. I am against stealing others ideas for self profit and copying for profit.
