Brous Blades

I believe their customer support has improved. I had an issue a few weeks ago [ customer service rep Dylan ] and they were very attentive and fixed the problem quickly.
Keena Brous is very good at responding to email as well.

I bought a Reloader (second hand) prior to hearing about some of these concerns. Regardless, the Reloader has excellent fit, finish, and function and my only experience with Brous CS was also positive...I asked about buying a new pocket clip/screws and received a free one in the mail a few days later.

So I'm curious, is there any actual proof that Brous knives/parts are made in China or is it purely baseless speculation?

There is always proof, but as the adage goes, "Don't throw stones if you live in glass houses." Those with proof, are the companies that use the same manufacturer. Or simply others in the industry that have been approached by said manufacturer looking for OEM work. It's not worth the drama or backlash to 'out others' in this industry, because it may end up hurting the whistle-blower in the long run as well. The reasons a source chooses to remain anonymous, are the same in the knife industry as they are in politics, business, world news etc...

The accusations have been made that they are by a few on here but to my knowledge no one has provided a spec of proof so it's speculation.

The only Brous knives I have are a few Silent Soldier neck knives, which I love. The older one, a black Ranger SS the kydex sheath was abit loose but I tightened it up by heating up the plastic and pinching it.

I have only handled some of his folders a few times at the local knife store. A Division and a mini Division. They both were auite nice.

About him outsourcing Chinese factories, I don't know anything about that. I have no proof either way.

I have the original silent solder version 1, and two fixed blade knives from the era he started making knives. They aren’t from overseas. I guess that changed?
That’s the problem with not staying current. I did read quite a bit about him and he was highly respected at the time.
A big problem with research on the internet is that there are opinions to support ANY research you do. You can find good, bad, indifferent, etc., depending on how you word your search.
That is why I come here when I hear about a problem or need to check on a knife.
