Brown Recluse Infestation

What always bothers me is when I'm camping out and just get the bedroll tucked in nice and comfortable,
just drifting off to sleep when I feel some little 8 legged critter running up my leg
Always gets me out and standing up real quick :D

Shake out the bedroll and then start over :grumpy:

Thanks for that post 1whitefoot. I'm going camping this weekend.:D

Creepy and gross! Snakes i can handle but spiders give me the heebie-geebies. I don't like anything that has more limbs than me.lol!
Dang maybe i can suffer through another Newfoundland winter after all! lol.
At least we don't have any of those nasties here. No snakes or cockroaches here either. Bout the creepiest bugs we have here are European earwigs.

I've seen similar range maps before, so I know they're not supposed to be in Pennsylvania, but a friend's mother was bitten by a recluse a few years ago. It put her in the hospital for months.

I'd rather not have the poisonous variety in the house, but otherwise, spiders don't bother me. I usually ignore them until my wife asks me to kill or remove one. I'm real happy when living outdoors. Outdoors means bugs. Live outdoors long enough, and after a while, you just get used to bugs.

Don't get me wrong, I don't particularly like them in the sleeping bag either. And they'll still startle me. On the other hand, I usually prefer a tarp to a tent.

Admittedly, I am glad I don't live or usually camp in areas with poisonous insects.
