Yup! Thoroughly enjoyed the series and pretty much know the film by heart (couldn't even tell you how many times I've watched it...:o).:thumbup::thumbup:
 
Yeah, I had never heard of it when it was out. was it on basic cable or what? but after I dound out about it it had allready been canceled. The seasons were too Short! anyway, I'm a huge fan!
 
One of the best ,still makes me smile when I think of it. Another movie or two would be great.
 
Great series; I always wanted to know more about Shepard Book's background though. He was killed off in Serenity before that story got told.

When I lend anyone the Firefly series, I tell them to watch "Out of Gas" first, because it introduces everyone and how they got to be part of the crew. Then they are really sad after watching all 13 episodes wishing there were more. Then I lend them Serenity, and they can relate to it much better after watching the series.

For me, it is arguably my favorite sci-fi/western franchise along with BSG. Serenity/Firefly has such endearing characters though, and whenever I see the actors in Terminator (Summer Glau), V (Morena Baccarin), Castle (Nathan Fillion), Alan Tudyk in Transformers recently, Gina Torres in White Collar, Jewel Staite in Stargate, Adam Baldwin in Chuck and old X-files episodes, etc. I feel like putting on an episode or two. I really wish they'd bring it back, or do some type of encore.
 
Great show, great characters, great lines. Our office browncoats gather weekly for takeout Chinese food and watch an eposide in our main conference room during our lunch hour. We even have the unfilmed script for the 15th show which we tabletop annually.

Also some of the best villians/villianesses on screen today.

I really appreciated the almost 3-D effects they achieved in a lot of those battle scenes.
