So, I got to thinking today, it would be interesting what we all though should belong in the Bushcraft hall of fame in terms of tools.

Axes, knives and other various things. Knives like the Fallkniven F1, Various moras, BRKT Northstar.

What do you guys think, what to you should belong in a Bushcraft hall of fame?.

Maybe the:
RC-3,RAT 3,TAK
Mora 2000
Ontario 12" Machete
SAK OHT
SAK Farmer
SAK Rucksack

other stuff:
Plastic ziplock bags of all sizes
bic lighters
Any publications by
John lofty
Mors Kochanski
Ron Hood
Jeff Randall

Nessmuk style knife, Fiskars hatchet, Rat 3 (came before RC3) for value vs cost vs usefulness. If money is no object then that skews things a bit.... My Helle Fjellkniven is one sweet blade, GB SFA, Vic ST

what ever you want, price can very person to person, though we all have tools we have tested extensivly, for me my nimravus plain edge, put some cloth over the handle so its much more comfy, wetterlings and leatherman wave, or Vic Rucksack

Mors Kochanski's mora and Ray Mears Woodlore would be top of the list for me:thumbup:

Bingo, that's my #1 choice . Also gotta mention the Koster Bushcraft. Basically a custom knife made form excellent materials at under 100 bucks. Hard to beat.
Fiskers hatchets and saws. Great bang for the buck.
GB hatchets and axes, the creme de la creme IMO.

Tramontina machete. Are we limited just to cutting tools? If not, then I would suggest 550 paracord, lensatic compass, fire steel, but maybe those are more wilderness survival and not bushcraft.

For fire:

Flint & Steel
Ferrocerium rod / Light my Fire Sweedish Firesteel
Doan Magnesium Fire Starting tool
Bic lighter and Mini Bic
Zippo

any Mora......SAK farmer.....Sak OHT......Swisstool Spirit.......LM Wave

any Swamp Rat fixed blade.

Fun question. I have a personal list of 'given' gear that I think fits into this same idea, just gear that's been used by so many people that we have a really good idea of how reliable it is, or gear that's so ubiquitous that there is no excuse not to have it.

- LMF Army model
- 550 paracord
- Mora 510 / #1
- Fiskars hatchet
- Vic Farmer
- GI Canteen/cup/pouch
- KM match case

Other awesome gear I don't have any problem recommending:
- F1
- most any BRKT
- RC series, most RAT blades
- Customs like Fiddleback, ML knives
- GB axes

Some very good candidates for the Hall of Fame I'll add
pj/cotton balls
signal mirror
ranger bands
first aid kit

the birch, the cedar, the yucca, and most of the other plants, trees, and weeds. sticks, sting, rocks, and pieces of metal, this stuff has been keepin folks busy along time. Pat

PS oh and maybe some common sense to get you through
