BUBBICUS - Resolved

Best case scenario: This is what happens when you have a separate price list you tell your wife about regarding knives you bought LOL.
People like that baffle me, they don't even realize when they're bragging about that, they're broadcasting deep relationship issues🤣

Side note:
This is as much also PayPal’s fault as it is the ones who abuse the system.
PayPal will let a buyer make a claim for up to 6 months and almost always sides with the buyer, at least initially.
I have been bitten by this policy more than once when selling on a well known online flea market site.

Good luck OP.

edited.
I did not mean to take the responsibility away from those who do these things.

"When have I ever been less than patient?...and do you think I need a haircut?"

🤣

I can still remember when a handshake or one's word still meant something.

and for many here that still holds true.
but now there seems to be a new breed of knife enthusiast, to whom old school values don't hold much weight. I think the sources are facebook and instagram and such(and it spills over here), but they can't be blamed for the individuals actions. These individuals came that way.
IMO-and getting down from my soap box

Hi, everybody. FYI, Bubbicus (Real name Ryan Weiss) reached out to me just a few hours ago, saying his wife made the claim with Paypal, and that he is taking care of it and will see that I get my $$ back. We shall see.....
I'd send that to Paypal to prove your case.. If it's the same Ryan Weiss he's been mentioned on FB for issues recently too..

B_Pilgrim B_Pilgrim I'm glad everything worked out for you, but usually the big green GOOD flag labels threads where the buyer had a purely positive experience. I would still want to skip everything you went through.

It's a shame that this was changed to "Good", given that the guy had to have his name dragged before he did the right thing.

I'm glad you got your money, but kinda hate to see this switched to good. After several people had to post and file claims to get money back. Seems not only here but on FB also. A "good" gives people a false sense of security IMO.
All this, especially since Bubbicus Bubbicus never even bothered addressing this thread🙄

I should have added the issue about the "good" thing on my earlier post. I am glad the OP got a resolution, but by no means was any of this a good experience. And honestly - by promoting Bub in the title of this post as "good" actually does a disservice to members here. Perhaps changing it to "resolved" would be better? Not sure I buy the story from Bub to start with - seems like he finally made it right when he got called out and exposed here.

I understand what y'all are saying but ultimately feel like it was a miscommunication between he and his wife. Yeah it was an unpleasant experience for me and for Redwood25 Redwood25 but I don't think it was intentional. I'm not privy to any of the details in regards to FB and so, in the interest of the community, will change it to resolved instead of good. Thanks to the BF community for their interest and support.

I don’t know the person or details here but there have been many instances where it is said that a wife/child/pet fish started a dispute months after a transaction was done. I can’t help but speculate that some of these (not all) are people who think they are simply gaming PayPal and will have no consequences for the other party. How poor does communication need to be for multiple disputes to be opened by one’s significant other without so much as a word ?

My better half managesthe bank accounts and will regularly ask did you spend $x on the credit card or PayPal if she does not recognise the recipient. When our CC was jacked it was how we picked it up before it got into the thousands - a simple “did you use Uber” and of course I never have in my life.

Sorry but maybe if the transaction had just occurred I would be more open to it being a mistake. Now well after….
