It’s a beast in the kitchen. I’ve used it to dice chicken, beef, and a few onions. It’s very nimble, and pleasant to use. I plan to whittle some wood sometime soon with it.

I guess it's mostly just an aesthetic thing.I’ve never understood the handle “proportion to the blade” theory.
The blade is for the task at hand, the handle is meant to fit a hand. They don’t need to be proportional to each other.
Not saying you are wrong, I’ve heard others say the same thing.

I don't know why but I'd rather have a grip that just fits my hand good enough and looks right for a particular knife than a grip that fits my hand perfectly and looks a bit too large for a particular knife.
