Buck 103 as EDC?

Most importantly. Are you happy with it?

It’s awesome the way it is, I’m in no way criticizing it.

But I’d be tempted to go just a little more. To get rid of that slight hump on the spine. I would draw a straight line from the spine were it touches the guard and the tip.

If I did one I was going to try to replicate the small false edge at the tip of a 118. View attachment 2154404
Now that I look at it, the 124 is similar View attachment 2154403

A baby Frontiersman, or even better a baby Nemo would be cool!

All in all, I am pretty happy, it turned out better than I expected. I agree with the suggestion I would love to end up with a 124ish tip. I stopped because I was worried I would go too far and botch it. 😊. I am going to see how it performs this week and do some additional shaping.

Yep I agree with your approach 100%.

Use it and see how you like it. You can always take more off another day, you can’t put it back. Don’t rush it.

You are a wise and patient person.

I like modifying my knives if I can make them better suit my purposes. Its nice to see someone else do it. It’s not for the faint of heart.
