BUCK 110 B&C is misleading

NO......Matt, don't throw that sheath away!! Save it and next time I buy a knife from you just add 5 bucks and throw it in the box. Those make good backpacking sheaths. :)

Mark, you can have it... Expect a package. I will cover the shipping just to get it out of my house...

That is just plain funny!! I'm still laughing. You REALLY don't like Cordura sheaths, do ya?? Thanks Matt!! :)

Cordura sheaths yes, the piece of shit nylon sheath made in Mexico, NO absolutely not. There is a big difference in the crap sheath that comes with the 110s and a cordura sheath. The Cordura sheaths are thicker, the nylon sheath is flat and thin and cheap.

It's probably not the sheath your think it is Stumps. I'm not even sure they're worth the cost of postage and envelope. In my opinion, the only thing they're good for is to use for storage purposes.

I wouldn't insult my new knife with storing it in that thing...

In the March 2010 newsletter, CJ writes about Cabela's focus on a good-better-best approach to merchandise laddering. This is the first time I had noted him mention this path and perhaps it was taking root at Buck, i.e. Select, Avid, Pro. Also, Sandvik steel is mentioned in the same article thus setting the stage for the middle grade.? DM

Don't send it Matt...I was thinking it was the Cordura sheath. THROW THAT ONE AWAY!!

You sure??? Your positive... I mean it's no problem, look I want you to have it. Don't worry I know just the place to put this one...

Did you get the knife from Cabela's? I tried a quick Google search which returns several versions of the 110. I'm curious as to the exact model you purchased. Can you provide a link? Thanks.

The B&C 110's are exclusives for a sporting goods chain, but they aren't paid members of the forum so their names can't be mentioned here. It's considered deal spotting and is frowned on by the forum management. Same with Cabela's.

I don't think I've seen the nylon ones. What 110s do those come with?

Well.....okay, but ONLY if you ship in express mail/overnight, signature required and insured delivery. :p

Wait...I'm having second thoughts. As much as I really
(don't) want this sheath now, I think you should save it and give it to oregon when we are at the BCCI 25th Anniversary in Post Falls next summer.

A quality nylon sheath like that just screams "oregon"!!

New to the forum so I'm still learning some of the ropes. So talk about Cabela's is frowned upon? And if I spot a deal, I need to keep it to myself? Not trying to hijack this thread, just trying to understand the rules.
Thanks to the original poster for the heads up on the nylon sheath.

Learn something new everyday. I didnt realize the different levels. Interesting.
