Buck 110 EDC?

I carry a Buck 110 fairly often on my belt at a 4 O'clock position. Where I live seeing guys with the 110 on their belt is common.

Well I've got other traditional folders in my accumulation to rotate through but I don't usually go too long without putting the 110 on my belt or carrying the 110lt in some way.

My dad carried the 110 ebony every day since I got it for him father's day, it was only displaced by the 110lt I bought him a couple weeks ago and is going back to the standard 110 for a while.

I learned to shoot lefty and bought left handed holsters so I didn’t have to move my 110 from its spot on my belt.
I'm a right hander for many tasks not all though but also prefer being a southpaw shooter, just feels correct to me.........and carry left but typically when I carry a full size pistol I carry extra mags where the 110 usually sits, so luckily buck made a few 110s with a pocket clip and so i carry a pocket clip version 110 when i do that.

Love a 110 and it is a very frequent EDC. I think my first was about 40 plus years ago. Newest is the Ebony DP.
Last few production 110d including the ebony DP came very gritty from the factory. They cleaned quickly with some "blue lube" and their action after the initial clean have been smooth and precise.

Here's a pic os some/most of the metal dust coming from the pivot area that was cleamed.

The ebony 110 I bought my dad was extremely stiff but he reports that it's getting easier.
It wasn't gritty though just really stiff, locks up like a Vault unlike mine but I think it needs a tiny bit of play to open smoothly so I don't mind at all.

My two, (two more were fine) were "stiff" in the sense they did not glide open or shut and you could feel and hear the grit in the pivot area. What cleaned out was very fine , black dust. I suspect it was sanding dust from the finishing steps or in the work enviro. Once cleaned they open and close like bank vaults, came nicely centered and the ebony looks great.

I'm in the 112 club. I want a heavy duty knife and the 112 is the smallest that seems to fit the need.

I used to carry a 110 and sometimes still do, but more often it's the 112.

I'm not a fan of the light and plasticky "knives."

I carry the 112's more often, but the 110 LT is a close second. I'll often carry my brass/nickel 110's if it's belt/sheath carry. I also really like the Aluminum 110's but sometimes prefer the texture on the LT's.

Great read. I find i am in limbo. Moving from Florida to NC and now having to Open Carry my firearm which i am not comfortable at all with. So until i take the safety course and acquire a NC permit the knife becomes my sole line of defense.... oh a i mean only tool on my belt or in my pocket! :D
Apparently even a fixed blade has to be openly displayed? Well have to dig for a good source for the laws here. Until then it seems i should keep my tool carry to the 3” variety throughout the discovery period. 112’s or even my Duke get the nod.

Ya knows onced on a time, i tryed out one i dem new fangled 112 de first year dey came out...tho yea its heavy duity i still feel its a dayumbl fine girly knife.....
No offence now mind ya, jest dat i thoughi it felt liken that it fit the fairer sex's handbl better n mine...

It's small for me, too.......but I just hold that lil' 112 between my thumb and index finger and that works fine.

The toughest problem is that my hands are too big to get into my pocket to get it out in the first place.

Once I can get hold of it........everything is fine.
