Buck 110 from Walmart

Ebony 110's are my favorite. In my opinion even better than one ordered with different scales from their custom shop. Not to knock on Buck, I love their knives, but I ordered two customs the past two years. Both were purchased around Christmas and for the price I paid I was not overly impressed. My standard 110's, some of which were purchased at Walmart–including a 50th anniversary have all been perfect and cost me three times less.

I got my first 110 at Walmart. It's the same 110 you can get anywhere, and for 35 bucks! I think they upped the price to 45 now though.

It ignited my love for the 110. Now I have a 78-79 110, a custom drop point, nickel silver and blue wood 110 with S30v, a 110 lt, 110 slim select... Still want to pick up a 110 slim pro G10...

Nice! I looked a few weeks ago and they were 45 online. However in store can be a different story. I know when I bought my wife her sewing machine it was 100 in store and 75 online, so we ordered it on the website and just picked it up in store!

well,I just bought a new 110 from Walmart with the ebony handles and got it home to do some testing, been hearing a lot lately of low quality on knives. Not this one.

Got me a beauty of a new 110, razor sharp out of the box, nice smooth action and perfect lock up and blade centering .Im very impressed with the quality and how they sell these so cheap in 2020 I'll never know, thank you Buck Knives!

congrats and enjoy!

Hi Razorblades,Was the ebony 110 in a clam shell?
Thanks Hawk

Not that I'm a big fan of Wally World, but I bought one from them last fall, and it's of the high quality you'd expect from any 110.
No doubt. The ones sold at Wally's are made on the same lines in Idaho, as those sold elsewhere. :)

Hi Hawkeye, yes they come in a clamshell packaging which I don't like because I always like to try out a knife before buying it.They used to come in boxes and all of a sudden the new knives ar all clamshell packs.I really wish they would go back to boxes!

I was so ready for a new ebony handle Buck 110 (learned about them here on this sub-forum) that I bought the first one I saw. It was the only ebony one they had in stock and it was in the clamshell (which I normally don’t like for folding knives) - bought it at a Gander Outdoor store in Fayetteville NC. I bought it in early 2019 but the blade was made in late 2018, so it must be from a very early run of ebony handles. This knife is perfect, walk & talk is excellent, fit & finish is excellent, and the ebony is pure black - in my mind the perfect color of ebony. OH

Glad to hear! I had the opposite experience with two 110’s I picked up at Lowe’s. But a very gracious member here sent me a perfect example of one. And I absolutely love it.
Glad yours is great!!!

I purchase a new 110 at Walmart every year for the last 4 years. The packs with the blade open enables me to check the date to make sure i am getting the current year. I usually wait till June to make sure the old stock has cleared out. Running behind schedule this year.
I have purchased 2-112’s on Walmart website and am well pleased. My favorite in a 110 and 112 is the ones with finger grooves.
Also like the nylon for general carry. And store all my Bucks in nylon sheaths. Brass and leather don’t mix for storage.

I looked at a walmart in Lenoir and they did not have any Buck brand knives?? The associate checked availability at the other 3 nearest me and no stock available???
I found one at the Dicks sporting goods in Hickory listed for $34 and he described the tang stamp to indicate it was a 2019. At that price it was worth having 2.
After work Sunday i stopped by to purchase it and to my surprise it was a 2020 but the price was $39 and still worth every penny!
It was hard to see the date stamp with these old eyes so i took a picture so i could magnify it
