Buck 110 little loose

maybe its normal for a folder? a dont know much folder...i have seen an old shrade with the same loose and some cheap with a bigger loose...
 
Should have no play when open...try cleaning where the blade pivots and locks....gunk
gets in there sometimes....spray cleaner....hot water and soap....blow dry and lube.
 
that's make me sick its the third 2007 buck knife i buy who have a loose somewhere....
on my 119 its the gard....the same story for my 120

howdy dan..
yep once in a rare time a loose one gets by...
i highly encurage you to send ANY THING you think is not up to snuff
to waranty dept at buck ...
with as many as they make some times one may get by...
i will tell you that it is possable to have one too tight!
and most will as they break in have some movement..
but i encurage you to send any in that are not as you expect..
i sent one in once my self ...
wanted narly stag insted of smoth..
they fixed it right up!
i am sure they will take of you!!! they pride them selves on that!

my new 110 Ag from Cabela's is loose with blade play too. It moves side to side when closed or locked open. Maybe I will send it in, kinda feel bad doing it.
 
I just sent my Alaskan Guide 110 in for the same reason. They repaired it and it seems fine now. Took about a month for the repair.

The few i've had with loose blades,I fixed them myself and had great results,i shared the way i do it with a couple buds and they pretty much ruined their 110's because they didn't listen.Better off to send it back to buck,where it will be fixed right .
 
I have just fixed mine with my hammer....two hit and now it's tight. I live too far from the warranty dept of Buck ;)
 
i think the knife will come loose again but i dont wanna pay more for this knife...it was my first (good)folder and it will be the last....i will carry only fixed blade....but who is the clown that invented folder knives...:p

This is happened with me in 2012 summer time. I was so proud when I bought mine... then I realized it was loose, just a littlest but enough to be annoying!!! Then I went back to the store and changed under warranty and I opened in the store and check it, it was loose again. I ask the money back and the same day went another city and buy another Buck Knife... open in the store... and loose again... I was so disappointed and sad becauseI really love how to look and feel in my hand this knife and American made :( Then couple of months later one of my friend show his collection of knifes and see a older version... NO LOOSE AT ALL!!! then I was pissed of! But I'm still not give up to find a good one I just give a time for the company I hope one day come out the right one for me.
