Buck 110 little loose

Hi, guys.
I am having the wobble issue with my brand new 110 as well. It wobbles left and right when closed. No blade play when opened at all. Should I be worried about this or leave it as it is now? Thank you.

I never thought to wiggle mine when closed. If there's no play when it's open, I'd say it's good.

I have two 110's. My first, a 50 Anniversary had enough wobble when closed to hit the liners, but no play in any direction when opened. That blade wobble drove my nuts. I spoke to Buck, the nice young lady I spoke to said it should not have that much play, and said I should send it in for tightening. I confirmed it would be squeezed a little in a vice and the pin made flush agan, if necessary. I drive truck, don't get home more than 1 or 2 times a year, so sending it in is not really an option. Maybe I'll get a load to or through Idaho and have time to get it fixed while I wait.
The second 110 has just a touch of blade play side to side when closed, not enough to hit the liners, and no blade play when open, so I'm not going to worry about it.

I have a modified Buck 110. Modified to automatic push button. The blade is loose a little bit when open. Wiggles just enough, left to right, to bug the crap outta me.
I have read the comments here, most advising us to send it back to Buck for repair, but because mine was modified to a spring assisted switch blade, I don't think they will fix it.
So reading these comments, I see something about a pin that might not be flush?
Can the blade be rightened by squeezing the pivot point in a vice?
Thanks for taking the time to read and reply.
Peace.
Russell

Be careful with that vise. One squeeze too much and it may not open all the way just by the spring force.

You know those times when you have something almost perfect, but you want it just a little better? Then you go too far and it's worse than before. The Germans call that eine Verschlimmbesserung, a term I am very familiar with.

I hear a lot about blade wobble and had a guy show me his and it was so little I could hardly feel it until I pressed with a bit of force.

What they don’t understand is for the pivot to move freely without binding it has to have some air gap. If there was no gap at all and no free play it would be a friction folder where it rubs in the pivot. So if they don’t like a bit of wobble they should get a fixed blade.
