Buck 110 Slim pocket clip snapped

Plus side, I give you Kudos for your responses regarding a broken pocket clip. Some has been known to go off the deep end if anything happens at all.
Things happen, Buck typically jumps on it.

Thank you. I’m a fan of the company and a lifetime customer. I’m not upset at all, Buck operates with integrity and produces a fine product.

It’s also kinda telling that no one else is reporting this, so it could very well just be I’m exceptionally clumsy. :)

Maybe you were a hula dancer in a past life and sometimes it's just comes out again.

I was walking and my hip rubbed on the wooden handrail. Nothing too excessive but definitely would cause a clip to bend.

Since you didn't realize when you broke the first one, I wonder if it is catching harder than you realize. Maybe it bent bad when you got out of truck and when your rubbed the handrail it popped.

It just seems like the metal could be a bit softer to allow bending. I also noted the break happened in the exact same place.

I suppose it might be worth calling. Bucks warranty and customer service is very good. It could be helpful to them to offer feedback.

understood. thanks for followup, Sir.

doubt that. seen your other tools in threads. seems you keep them in good shape. just bad luck or maybe flaw in clip design? buck will fix and make it right and address if changes are needed.

It’s possible. The first time this happened I don’t know how it broke.

Your 100 percent correct on Bucks service. They are awesome.

If anything, I was mostly curious if anyone else has experienced this. I carry a clipped knife everyday and this is the only clip that I’ve personally had snap before bending.

It could also just be one of those weird flukes. The knife is still a great pocket carry and I plan to keep on using it!

Looks like it broke in the same spot around the screw access hole. I have bent many clips but Never broke one, I just bent them back. Maybe if you get a new clip you could try to take some of the temper out of it by heating it cherry red with a torch and then let it cool slowly thus making it softer.
