While that is not an ACTUAL Sodbuster, it is as close to a large SB as we are likely to get in the foreseeable future. That looks pretty good. I would have a bit of an issue justifying purchasing one (not saying I won't) because the clip point is about $10 less. Still, it is tempting.

With a sodbuster blade, a yellow handle and 112 size I'd buy one. It's still a nice knife.

not to derail the thread......but has buck ever made a sodbuster in any form. large small slip joint lockback etc? if not....why not? anyone know?

I always thought the Bucklite version of the 501 (was it the 424?) was close to a sodbuster. Shape and size seemed similar to a Case sodbuster Jr.

I can't agree with this. The op called it wrong and should be corrected.
