Buck 110 Sport or CS ?

The Buck 110 was a, uh, tactical knife decades ago. Remember the Flickits and the quick-draw sheaths? With the exception of stabbing cars JoeX style, a 110 will probably serve any purpose that could be reasonably expected of a folding knife, as would many Cold Steel knives.

Tactical lock?

I'm just curious how many of the special edition legacy 2021 s45vn are floating around

"What is the best option for a folding knife for tactical use, a Buck 110 Sport or a Cold Steel?"
What do you mean by "tactical use " ? And what model Cold Steel are you comparing to the Buck ?

The sturdiest models of CS , Taiwan made Tri-ad lock folders , are hard to beat , IMO .

And a better value than the Buck . If you shop around .

But ...I think the Buck would probably not disappoint either .:thumbsup:

I doubt that number has been published. My understanding of the legacy editions, is they make however may are ordered during that year. But I could be wrong.

O.B.

At the money we're talking, I'd get both*. I will also say, for a purely tactical function, there are far more Cold Steel models that are designed around that sort of use than the Buck 110 is really for. The Buck 110 has ABSOLUTELY been used in self defense before in many instances by owners all around the country, I'm sure of that completely.

However, a smooth wood/brass handled knife with little in the way of stopping your hand sliding forward is about the last thing I'd want to try to stab someone with. Also, the Triad lock is far stronger than the 110's backlock, so again, this really comes down to various models of Cold Steel being just better for the purpose.

* Stated as someone who owns many of both LOL

Also if you are referring to the 110 w the brass/wood handles, theres no thumb lugs or pocket clip; if carried in a pouch its going to take too long to open thje pouch take out the knife then open with 2 hands.Theres no quick way to do that in an emergency. Its kinda like the muzzle loader of the knife world in this situation.

you're right. the legacy models are made for a year and then no more. how many, guess depends on how many sell and how much allocation and line time Buck has setup for it.

OP said 110 Sport which is equipped with thumb studs and a pocket clip.
