Hiyo!

So I have that urge to get some knives, but I don't wanna spend all that much... So I figured, why not get a Buck 110? Doesn't cost that much, and it's one of those knives everyone should have (right?). So, I'm just curious, with or without the finger grooves? If they don't really make that much of a difference, might as well save the $8 eh?

To add on some more... I just realized that I was adding at least 3 or 4 knives to the cart and getting ready to buy that... So I don't feel like spending a lot of money on a knife, but I apparently subconsciously felt it was alright to spend a lot of money on numerous knives - what the genius I am!

Hm, so... A few cheaper knives (Pocket Bushman, KaBar Dozier, Buck 110, Ontario Rat Folder) or a nicer knive in the same price range? Wahhh, Maybe I'll take out a student loan to support this newly found obsession...

Go with the 110 without and go get it at walmart. $28 and some change out the door. One of the best values around. And yes, the 110 is the knife that changed the folding knife industry forever.

Next you'll be ordering from Buck's Custom Shop for those fancy stag and S30V 110s...like me.

The F.G.'s look cool, but really dont add much grip imo.Cant beat the classic!

Well, I like the finger grooves, but I also like the S30V steel that comes with their Alaskan Buck 110. For seventy bucks...er, dollars...it's well worth the expenditure. I also like the stag grips, but any time you get away from the basic model, it's going to cost $$$.

If you do go to the Wally World to get a 110, you might want to hold off on that order until you see the Kershaw OD-1 and Zing...

Just sayin.

Greatly prefer mine without finger grooves.

I find the grooves on the 110 to be uncomfortable to the point I consider them a step down in ergonomics, to say nothing of aesthetics (they look fugly.)

A Buck 110 with them, is IMO no longer a "classic."

Get the 110, without finger grooves. The one everyone should have, should not have the grooves. Plus, different size hands will make it comfortable to some, while extremely uncomfortable to others.

Oh sure, make me feel completely stupid - greatly appreciate it! I guess that's why it looks alot like a Voyager... And having a closer look, has Cold Steel printed on the blade =P

He just mentioned the Alaskan and had a picture of the Buck and that... I just absent-mindedly assumed that it was a comparison pic. Hmmm, to be young and dumb :D
