I have both and I like the one with finger grooves MUCH better. I have small hands and it fits me well.

You can add your own grooves as was done by the 2nd on the left

I got it on eBAY, and while the guy kind of butchered the knife, I do like the balance.

Hiyo!

So I have that urge to get some knives, but I don't wanna spend all that much... So I figured, why not get a Buck 110? Doesn't cost that much, and it's one of those knives everyone should have (right?). So, I'm just curious, with or without the finger grooves? If they don't really make that much of a difference, might as well save the $8 eh?
I got one of each. I like both.

Have you handled both versions?
I like, and have both styles; but do feel a special affinity for the grooveless models.
Your omey: your choice.

I hate the looks of finger grooves. No finger grooves for me

Mine is a 110FG that the Australian Buck agent gave me as a freeby when I was in the trade back in the late 80s.

Ok we are really doing this? I’ll contribute to the resurrection

. My favorite only has 1 finger groove.

Next to a factory finger groove. See how it moves my grip forward a little? It’s pretty sweet!

So there is a good thing to resurrecting the dead. Glad I found this thread, I was debating whether to get a 110 with the finger grooves. I decided no grooves as a I have two 112s with grooves, which are comfortable. The size of the 110 made me think the plain handle would be more comfortable in different grips.

Go with the 110 without and go get it at walmart. $28 and some change out the door. One of the best values around. And yes, the 110 is the knife that changed the folding knife industry forever.

Next you'll be ordering from Buck's Custom Shop for those fancy stag and S30V 110s...like me.
Nah, go for the Custom Shop and select the nickle silver frame, elk grips and Magnacut... like me:rolleyes:.
