Buck 110

My Dad had a few when I was a kid so I always had one to carry when outdoors.

I didn't buy one for myself until about a year ago - damn this forum.

You guys / gals started making me feel left out.

I don't use it much but I can say I have one!:D

Actually bought mine in the late 60's while living in the Pocono mountains PA when you read the tangmark by aiming the tip at your gut! - Carried it and used it - then a friend from Maryland went to Alaska to work near Bethel AL - I gave it to him -when he came home I told him to keep it for the memories - I've had guite a few since and also the 112 Rangers. Lots of memories!
Peace

it was my first lockback. i turned 6 in 1980 and my old man bought me one for my B-day. it was a HUGE knife for a young guy like that, but i wanted one like the knife he carried. not to mention the Duke boys had one on their belts. ive had at least one of them ever since

One of my fist knives as a boyscout.
10 later later I got the titanium version because one of the leaders owned one and i thought it was the coolest knife ever.
Stupid me sold it when I needed some money and did not know the value of the knife :grumpy:

Wish I still owned the titanium version.

My first 110, bought in the early 70's, is long gone. Numbers 2 to n, where n is an ever icreasing whole number now too high to recall, are still here - somewhere. I have Buck Custom Shop 110's and el-cheapo clearance priced WallyWorld Christmas Tins, too. Great knife - everyone needs one, whether they know it or not. Start with a cheapie 110 from a discount house - same knife as a full priced one from a small store. Really - a US-made classic. You'll thank me later...

I am proud to say that my first lock-back was a Buck 110. I'll always remember the ads in the late 60's. I thought (and still do) that the 110 was the most beautiful folder in the world.

Bought my 110 in '75 from the Herman's Sporting Goods on 42 Street in Times Square.
Went thru about 3 or 4 sheaths.
In the early 80's I added the "Flick-It" a one armed bandit thumb opener.
Took that off and sold it to a guy that had to have it in the early 90's.

The old soldier now sits in a place of honor along with the 112 I bought about the same time.

The Buck 110 was my first locking pocket knife.
I bought the first one myself around 1969 or 1970.
I also still think this the best looking pocket knife made, best bang for the Buck (Dollar:D) Workhorse one can buy today. :)

I still own the first one and since Buck 110's in the wild run in Packs, I bought the first Buck 110 some Friends though the years. :D
