Buck 112 & Bg42 blade...Maybe??

Joe,
One additional question on the 112 BG-42 replacement blades.

I prefer the older flat bolster 112's from the 1970's, is this new blade interchangable with a 2-dot or 3-dot 112???

BG-42 is a great addition. Now, if we could only get a titanium handle on the 112....

I think i am going to cry!:D I actually held the blanks in my hands, they have started through the shop!:D This one is going to happen.
I am not ignoring all the other questions raised, I just don't know the answers right now. I will ask for a diferent stamp, they HAVE TO say BG-42 of course but maybe also Buck Custom or Buck, Anvil, Custom. usa
We will see.

What's the process for getting a blade changed out?

Hmmmmm. .....This could get interesting. Are we going to have to have a lottery
to see who will get one ( or more) of the 100 blades being made?????

I'm kinda wondering now if 100 blades is going to enough. This idea sure is putting
sparks in the little 112!! Great!! 'bout time the little guy got noticed........

I visit the 112 blades almost every day, i talk to them and...well ok, its not quite that bad, but almost!:D
The lead man on the shop told me he would get going on them right away. There are a lot of special considerations when running BG, he let me know that my special request was tearing up "his" machines!
I will start a new thread outlining the process when i have them.

Hey Joe,
I don't own a 112 yet.
Does this mean that I have to buy one first to get the BG-42 blade?
Any chance of just slapping one into a regular 112 so I don't have to go thru the intermediate step of buying a regular 112 first.
Please, please?!?
