I have an empty 124 box ( END FLAP CREAM )has a white label
FRONTIERSMAN C
MODEL 124CC
CATALOG 8134

Can anyone tell me what "catalog 8134" I can find no record of that number.
Thanks

If my memory serves me correctly it is Cherrywood.
I will try to locate my records.Buck had four handle scale options that year.

Triple E what year were the four handle scales offered? I know 83 started the dyed impregnated birch handles but never saw cherrywood (unless you are referring to what some people call rosewood).

Just delightful pics any way you choose to slice it. Buck's 124 is the most handsome, macho looking blade they ever produced. The blocky style handles don't bother me too much, but I don't know why (for God's sake) the company departed from their 1970's handle style. My Nemo is just about the sweetest knife that Buck ever made. A nod goes out to that totally delicious 124 with the polished stag handle. Wow!
