Buck 143 Paklite Skinner (made in USA)

Not a bad looking knife. The only thing I don't like on the other neck knives is the sheath makes the handle stick out high. Buck got it right with their lower riding sheath. I'll have to check them out next time I'm at walmart.

I no its terrible I was at school when I got the call and with the whole zero tolerance policy I cant have one there. Forgive me thy knife lord I know not what I do

I just scored two Buck 143s at the Walmart by me for $15.00 ea. I went to buy them but they over charged me. After a bit of hassle the teller hooked me up and sold them to me for $15. It was the best part of my day. They were razor sharp and ready to go. Great buy...

Wow...great price I would buy them all for $15.:D

I need to take mine into the local kydex maker I have to have some thin sheaths made for them. I think they are a great knife for the money but the sheath is too large for what it is.

I've got both the 140 and 143, talk about bang for the buck!!!!:) I bought a 143 for a friend at work, and he beats the crap out of that knife. Pretty tough knife for what you pay. You would think you would hear a lot more about these knives on here.

Yep, it is a 'sleeper' from Buck. I knew from the start that this was a neat knife that was priced right for us mere mortals. You carry it and don't realize it is on you. Reminds me of the KelTec that rides in the front jeans pocket!

I found this cord wrap on you tube, it takes about 10 minutes. I'm going to buy another and make some wood scales for it. It's a great little knife, comes hair popping sharp. Like the idea of stainless, no worries around the camp and water. I am going to find a way to strap it to one of my larger knives

This is the Buck 140 Paklite right? I have this one and like it. I also did a 550 paracord wrap on mine. My question is, a friend like mine and gave me his Buck 143 Paklite to wrap the handle, but the it won't fit into the given stock sheath with the wrap. I would have to only wrap the half the handle. Does anyone have a wrap on the Buck 143 and/or another sheath for it? Any help would be great.

I have one, I like it, worst sheath ever almost though LOL
I have been thinking about stripping mine, dunno tho, I kinda like the two-tone.
Used it on a deer last fall ''just because''. It worked pretty well for gutting/skinning. Needs some edge work /sharpening done though

that sheath made Becker sheaths appear Good by comparison! ;)

I like the Becker one also and have two, but the Buck is a way better deal.

Wrapped Buck 143 with a nice two-tone color but since it was a skeleton knife it won't fit all the way back into the stock sheath. Need to find new kydex sheath for it or redo wrap.

Cut the inner plastic part of the sheath off a little and it will work fine. I am in the market for some kydex to make my own.

I bought one the other day, I love it. I had to put my own edge on it though, the factory one was sharp, but they just don't compare to the edges i put on them. Oh and another huge plus for me is that a Spyderco Mule fits in the sheath perfectly.
