Buck 301 / 307 Stockman

These zombie threads have the half life of Plutonium, and are just as deadly to one's wallet, lol.

I never knew what I was missing...🤣

This one came home to me after more than 40 years in my brother's possession. He even still had the 112 sheath that I carried it in. Methinks I'll drop it in my pocket tomorrow.

At least I didn't bite on this one and then find out I'd commented already. This one is before my time.

That is nice. I really like 154 CM, so the newer version would be great.
We (Bladeforum members) had a blast putting that knife together. We voted on every aspect of the knife. There must have 8-10 separate polls and the dealer handling the project was incredible.

Somebody would suggest something under the assumption that it would never happen (like the long pulls, for example) and Stephen would jump in and say “Hold on now. Let me ask Buck”.Next thing you know, we got our long pulls. Same thing with the Full Flat Ground blades.

It was a very memorable experience and it’s also a very unique and fantastic knife. Didn’t cost a lot either.

I agree, it was a fun time! I was just thinking how even with the limited 'extras' this year's polls for the forum knife is taking on the same feel. The battle for handle form is heating up with the lobbying and banter for smooth vs saw-cut. Folks trying to sway the 'lost cause' jigged camp to come over to their side. Fun stuff, lots of photos.
