Buck 301 and 303 Who's Got 'em

Looks good to me. Like the scales and mod is interesting enough I would try one to see if I like it with both secondary blades on one end. I think I might........

Guys, Buck is coming out with some new 300s, including 301s and 303s. Look for a Cherrywood (radiused bolsters) shaped knife in YELLOW micarta with new blue shield.

Two sets in decorative tins. One a single 301 and the other a 303/309 combo. In the new to 300s recycled Paperstone scales with a Boone and Crockett club emblem in scale.

Also a Painted Pony really fancy 301 Jasper scales and fancy worked bolsters.

Will try to pull pictures and get back here to you , my poor Beatles era computer skills slowing the process...300Bucks

Some cool knives coming out. I'm glad to see a manufacturer is using Paperstone as a handle material- it's a great countertop and seems like it would have good potential as a light-duty knife handle.

A little Google work shows the Metro available with a few different and striking Paperstone handle options as well.

Love reviving these old threads.......own both, love both. However, if I had to choose one over the other.....I'd take the 301. This type of knife...to me....is a knife to use in the field. As such, I prefer a blade that fills the hand more.

I have a B&C 301.....the paperstone handles are very nice....and very unique. I'm gonna start working that into the carry rotation.....and purchase another to go into the collection!!

I love them all! (Arf, The Wonder Chicken endorses Buck's American made knives)!

I've never owned a Buck Stockman, but if they're anything like the 309 I used to carry, they have to be some solid knives.

Very nice Jake!!! An iconic Buck for only $13? I'll take 10, thanks. ;)

I only have a couple late model 301's. The 303, while no doubt a great knife, is a little small for my tastes for a Stockman pattern.
(please don't hate me)

The 301 is my preferred size. But the 303 is a great little knife when something bigger isn't needed. I even have a smaller Buck 3-blade 309/310 whittler. Nobody at the post office will bat an eye if you open boxes with this little one.

My Oldest 301 (thanks Jake)

My Youngest 301 (slightly modified)

Nice photos and mod

Thanks Jake. The mod causes the blades to lie very low and flat when closed. One of these days I'll have to take some side-view pics of it closed, it would show even better what I believe is the improvement. I have a newer 303 that came from the factory with similar changes, guess Buck liked the idea too.:)

Other than an old 110, my only two Bucks:

I Have two of those.....one pristine in box that is in the collection and one that is in the carry rotation. Must say THAT particular knife is my personnel favorite......love the ergonomics and just the "feel" of the knife. Schrade just made great knives.......

I agree as the long-pull nick is perfect. The shape and quality of the blade is perfect for so many tasks......thanks for posting some great pictures!!

Love my 301. That main clip blade is to die for.

Here is my hand me down 303... With all the talk and voting of the 2018 Traditional Forum Knife had to bring this out. It's not a 301 and not a two blade marvel (why I voted on the 3 blade version, I wanted a bigger brother to this)...but still really cool and my only stockman I own!
