Buck Custom 110 shop Customer service

Man... I just wish that I could afford a custom. Like others have said the good people at Buck will make it right. They have for a lot of us.

As for Buck updating their web site, that is the biggest joke in Idaho! Joe told us a year ago that Buck had hired someone to do just that...check this page and tell me where the tang stamp for 2008 is...or 2007...

Update: I received an email yesterday from the High Command...which, although it did not say *why* the Buck web site was not being updated, did hint at why it is such a low priority... ;)

Well, we'll see...

Thanks for that UPDATE... Traxx;)

My experience with the custom shop was GREAT. 5 weeks to get and no complaints from me. But if you wanted 4 rivets and cherry wood, you could have picked up one of the christmas tins and you would have had a mirror polished blade too! Well, good luck anyway.

I can't even find the custom shoppe online anymore after 1 whole day ???

I just managed to get a Pete at Buck's company phone and placed my order that way. Service seemed good he said he would not charge until it ships out. So far so good. As far as the wait I don't expect it to arrive anytime soon. I am afraid if I rush any type of customized order they might overlook somthing in haste.

I ordered 110 with BG-42 with nicklesilver bolsters, finger grooves, oak handles, rivets, and black leather case. Maybe I should have ordered a cordura case instead:( more animal friendly
 maybe next time:o

I wish it would get back online I want to built it while I watch :)

Greater, yours sounds just like mine, exactly. BG-42, Nickle, Oak with grooves. I placed my order 4 weeks ago so mine should be coming soon!!!

Are you referring to the new web site? IMO, Buck went downhill... :(

Thats one thing in life, you can't please everybody ;)

I like it alot better! But it will be nice once the custom shop feature is up and running! The search function alone, along with the knife features search is 4X better than the old site...

According to my two ex-wives, I can't please anybody...

I had a lot of problems with the site when Sarah was testing it...mostly related to dial-up here...The new site is broadband oriented...and slow as molasses in Winter...

I won't be visiting it very often...

(Thanks for the phone number, DarrylS!)

I have an uncle who has been carrying the same Buck 110 for 40+ years. I want to get my cousins together and have us all pick out a custom 110 for him fromt the custom shop. I've owned four buck knives and have to say that the fit and finish is amazing for the money. My son is getting my 119 in five years or so. I've had it since I was a kid and think I should pass it down. I would like to have it re-buffed and the edge re-done (I do not have the tools...except stones which would take too much of my patience). I'd like to see the 119s offered in the custom shop. I'd buy one in a heartbeat.

knifecollector42 welcome to the buck forum!
i have ordered from the custom shop some and some times it does take longer then others...
buck runs behind on customs as christmass comes around and then again after the first of the year... lot of orders!

Ena and Pete have worked togeather hard to over come some computer snags ! i know garbage in garbage out but it is so easy to have a crash and not find out why!!
phones also acted up once ...they got fixed but the gremlan was never found!
Ena and Joe bothe assured me that they are working trying to cut the time delay to only 2 weeks!
and may have worked out a way to do that...
it has worked quite well the last few weeks

i spoke with Joe and Pete both today on adding to an order and they said it was ready and almost out the door so was a good thing i called!
they said they would walk my new knives over to the shop to put in the box!
ya cant ask for more then that!
i assure you they WANT you to be happy...

SO i will soon be the happy owner of a new custom shop 111 with tear drop damascuss and smoooth black bufflo! (how does that sound goose!!)
Joe said he had it in his hand looking at it and that it was awwwasome!
i was about to say it is not nice to tease father nature when he is sippin from a jar ! hope it gets here in time for the virginia show!!
i may try to get a MOP next !
well got to pack and catch up on hunny do list...

KC i do hope you dont give up on them for some extra time...

Looked the site yesterday.
No more customs???
What happened to the 651 Nighthawk???
when i heard the voices from the
MOUNTAIN
speeking, my understanding {{i think}} they had bugs show up in the program for the custom shop site and they may have to rewright it if they can not come up with a site fix... the custom shop is running fine and getting orders out in 13 to 16 days now!
the 651 "pig sticker" was made for an aussy firm down under and was only sold there..and it is on the box as pig sticker!
from the voices i heard on the
Mountain
it seems that a few missed being sent or there was a slight over run and some could have been had from the company store if you knew who on the
mountain
to ask... but either way there was only a total of 350 or less made...
this is a very limited run of the largest useing knife
the only one larger i think was the simatar and only by 3/8 inch..
iuf you missed i sujest you do a google for down under!;)
