Buck & DLT Team up to create the 110 Ultimate Hunter

You won't like it because it's heavy, it's not flat grind, it's not a convex edge, ect.. DM

Well, there are a bunch of them to sell off — and I hope they all do.

And when it comes time for the second one, how's about a drop-point, flat grind, and brass & ebony bolsters and scales? OK by me to inlay a pewter badge, if that's needed to raise the model above the ordinary — but I do like a traditional look.

Opinions are like noses. We all have them and thankfully, we don't need to share them.

But then, I recall Chet Atkins saying, "That's my opinion and it should be yours."

I'd love to have this drop point. It's a step in the right direction. And yes, a flat or convex grind would be even better.

RBB, agreed.

Mine arrived in excellent condition. Solid lock up. No blade play. Blade centered. Laser sharp.

Wow, Tony. That was fast. Now, maybe some others will move on this 2nd --- perhaps last chance on this configured 110. Once you use it be sure and post how it works. DM

That's a nice combo, but it's not the ultimate buck folding hunter, cabelas already has the title with their alaskan guide series.you maybe should of had them coat the blade with dlc coating, then it would be the ultimate 110.lol

Yes, the coating is a plus. But the Cabela's model does not have the drop point blade. Which is a big plus for me. Some may not care for it but I sure like my drop point blade with S30V steel. DM

I'd be estatic with a nothing fancy brass and wood 110 with a 420HC drop point blade.
I like the 110, and have one, I just think a drop point is a better skinning blade.

I've got the bocci drop point blade and I really thought it was going to have so many advantages over the standard blade, but when I started using it I quickly found out it wasn't my favorite drop point blade.id rather have the clip point blade any day unless they re styled the blade more to that of a vanguard.

Razor, It is Pack Rat that thinks along the same lines as you ^ having a preference for clip points. DM

Thanks for the input guys. One thing is for sure, we won't do a coated blade. We feel that unnecessary for a knife with this blade steel.

Oh,it's a necessary and useful as the s30v itself.especially in hunting situations and in any environment where the air alone will rust your knife just sitting in the sheath on your belt.ILive in the Atlantic canada area and collect 110 knives, and since I bought my first ag with dlc coating,I rarely use any other 110 that isn't coated.ANother thing the coating does is it allows you to clean the knife off very easy even if you let it sit for hours nothing rusts.and makes for easier clean up.
