Buck & DLT Team up to create the 110 Ultimate Hunter

Got my three when I came home tonight! Fast shipping and GREAT Buck knives! I love them! May get a few more as gifts!!! Lock up is tight, blades centered and perfect scales and grinds...No issues at all!!
 
Wow. Buck, this need to be a catalog model. I would love to see a 112 in this configuration.
 
Folks I am leaving this thread alone as I question some higher ranked moderators on how secondary market dealers may post here with prices etc. As pointed out there is a Dealer level membership involved here. Go ahead an ogle and will eventually let you know what I find out for future.

Mine's sitting in my mailbox waiting for me to get home from work. Can't wait to get my hands on it! Pics to follow.

There we go. Man, I've forgotten what a sturdy feeling knife the 110 is. I was a little nervous about the lack of nail nick, but it pinches open nicely. Nice job on the scales, and glad they went with the distressed brown sheath. Awesome knife!

I like the no nail nick too. The Collectors Club offered a 110 in D2 steel and a distressed brown leather sheath came with it. Which I like. Agreed. DM
 
I've got a one armed bandit on my 110 drop point,and I love how it looks and works on that knife.
 
New guy here, first post. Had to join just to let everyone know how great this knife is. I have a bunch of 110s, including a Stag handle/Damascus blade and a Custom Shop Waterbuffalo handle/420HC Black Oxide blade. But, this one is special. I especially like the drop point blade. It is really sturdy and thick. I don't think I have to worry about breaking the tip off of this. I'll use it for pretty much any task I need done. I have also become a fan of S30V and don't currently have a 110 with this blade. I do now. I prefer nickel silver bolsters, check. The Cherrywood handle really is gorgeous and the pewter Buck inlay is a nice touch. Did I rave enough about this knife? I could go on.
 
OK, I am impressed. I ordered it on Thursday at 9:00 MDT. It arrived today, Monday. Fit and finish is great, lockup is solid and it is extremely sharp. I am glad to add this one to my collection. DLT, you not only hit the ball, you knocked it out of the ball park.

I'm curious, S30V is stainless, what is the coating for other than style. I'm serious, not trolling, I could see the coating to protect 1095, but I prefer no coating so just like to know if it actually does anything besides looks.
 
bt, the coating on several of Buck's blades works to seal the steel against elements. When hunting or hiking in salty air areas, rainy forest, carrying the knife in a sweaty pocket, ect.. Then the ti nitrite coating gives the blade a smoother finish, allowing it to cut smoother and materials don't adhere readily to it. Which helps in clean up. Those coatings are not easy to bond perfect to a blade. Thus it's really a upgrade. DM
