One thick layerThat's really interesting. Does it look like there are 2 stacked layers of micarta on the "fatter" one, or is it just 1 thick layer?
Edit: looks like 1 thick layer from the photo.
I know there were issues with some 102's. Batch was stamped as 105's and hit the market. This could be a similar situation. One thick layer
Thanks. I sharpened it and cleaned it up with flitz after I took those pics. I’m really happy with it and love that older flap sheathhunterjrg thanks for the photos. I thought at first that that 102 might have been an older barrel nut. It's 1988 date code, old but not that old. Maybe Buck had some thicker Micarta that needed to be used.
Interesting knife for sure, good grab.
Nice collection!
You can’t leave us hanging like that, man! LOL!I got busy yesterday and failed to participate.
I've been carrying this more often lately.
The Gen5 had so many different sheaths, I finally figured out the one I like.
