:cool:...That's the first email I ever got from Buck as well...If it's 40% off the prices shown it's a really good deal on a lot of stuff...:)
 
I got the email this morning... Just visited the site and its down.

For those that didn't get the email, I suggest you go to the Bucks site (when it comes back up) and enter your email address in the "Stay in Touch" box in the lower right hand corner of the Home Page.

Received email, but page only displayed text ( most likely my setup). We are probably overloading the site......

I am afraid I might have to agree with Tin.

I did not mention that at the Blade Show Club meeting Joe handed out code cards for a 60% discount for two knives for CY09.....The card face reads 'Collector's Club Members Discount Program". I am guessing "eventually" all members may handle one of those. Makes it worth paying your dues.....

I wonder if the 40% off would also apply to knves from the custom shop? Has anyone talked to them?
 
My gut reaction would be no on the custom shop, since the email says "40% off any regularly priced item".

:) Your gut is right, I just got an answer from Liz and it is no. She says that they are swamped (and short handed) with all the sales, web specials, BCCI list from Joe Houser and now the 40% off sale.

If things don't happen as quickly as we would like, we just need to be patient, I know they are working very hard to get everything shipped.

I'm not so sure about that. I just put a pencil to it and a Life member gets a 50% discount plus 10% and then add shipping. For a standard 110 ($66 in the catalog) that came to $39.60 + shipping from Larry. 40% off from the site is $39.60 with free shipping. Unless my math is wrong.
 
Alright, I have been missing something here in the BCCI info, we (Life Members) get a 50% discount plus 10% more?! Can someone fill me in?
 
We have sent out what is called a web blast to our customer list, the company hosting our web site is having an issue with the speed due to what we think is a bandwidth problem and have their whole team working on a solution their owner has commited to keep them there until it's fixed. So hang tight we will send out an email when it's fixed.

And who is this Larry Oden, and how does one get a copy of the "List"?

Went to the BCCI website, I see Larry is on the Advisory Board. Looked over my welcome pkg from the BCCI, and see... "Able to purchase many of Buck's current production of knives at greatly reduced prices", kinda vague, how about some details?
 
I got this e-mail a few days ago. The cart loads but it takes a number of minutes. If you can take some extra time just let it sit while you do other things, it will show up eventually.
