Buck Knives and Food

A good snack. Have you tried adding crackers and an apple with those items? A 110 can really cut Summer Sausage and cheese. DM

Perfect. When I'm whipping up a dish in the kitchen, that's a 3 coarse meal. I carry this type of stuff with me in my truck when traveling. It sure keeps a guy from going hungry while working in a rural area. DM

I consider coffee food. :)

Here is a Boone & Crockett Buck 110 with my 1940's Davy Crockett coffee cup.

Sometimes I like breakfast for dinner. This is my dinner tonight….fresh baked ham, eggs and home made bread.
The Buck 311 is going to be my go to knife when I go out to nearby restaurants.

Thought I'd finally add to this. Check out this big habenero at my buddy's house. And my new 113 skinner. I like this knife!

My dinner tonight…..using a Buck 2 dot from the late 1970's.
This knife has been the only one I've carried for a while now. Love that old square framed 110's feel and steel. :)

Great looking knife Mark, and dinner too!

Last night I made homemade pizzas.....
Used the 371 stockman to harvest basil and oregano from the garden.
Used the 931 chef knife to chop up tomatoes, onions and garlic from the garden
Used the 934 paring knife to prep the tomatoes for chopping
All of that was for the sauce.....

But I forgot to take photos :(
And I thought about this thread last night, but alas the photos were not to be had.....

Here's the 317 finishing up some fall chores. Harvesting the last of the carrots and getting ready to start preparing quinces. Some of the carrots will be served tonite with the venison sausage being grilled. The quinces make jam, pie, quince in syrup etc.(try quinces & syrup over oatmeal)!

Pasta sauce..... Lots of cutting up of tomatoes and onions done with Buck 931 Chef Knife :)
And a 302 to harvest the herbs :)

Yesterday I made 12 quarts of pasta sauce.

Today I did the same. 12 more quarts :)

It will all be frozen to last through the winter.

Used the 931 and 934 in preparation of the ingredients :)

2nd Buck and Food mission today :)

So.... The son had his braces massively tightened today. He was hurting really bad within a 10 minutes of leaving the orthodontist.
He also had planned on buying and making dinner for us tonight, and had even earned the money stacking firewood with a friend.
He bought most of the ingredients himself, to make Chili Lime Chicken Wings.
He declared he would just use a knife and fork to eat them....hahahahha

So, I helped him out a little as he cooked us dinner! :p

Buck 302 to cut the limes :)

Frying the wings, he did great breading and frying them!

while frying the wings, he made the sauce. Then tossed the wings in the sauce and voila!!
He actually made some of the best wings I have ever had! No exaggeration!
And those were some pretty dang big wings too!

Here is the first wave of wings on his plate, with a Buck 936 steak knife to help a sore teeth guy eat his wings :)

It was a chicken wing massacre :D
I declare him to be an awesome young man :)

A super sharp 830 Marksman made harvesting rosemary extremely fast and easy :)

I would have posted a photo of dinner, but it was a chocolate lava cake my better half made, and she didn't use any Buck Knives to prepare it
Nothing better than cake and ice cream for dinner :D
