Buck of the Month BOTM 841 Sprint Pro satin S30V drop point blade Ckote Crushed Silver AL hndl rdwhtblue blade marking. Blue ano spcr. of/500

That's really an affordable deal too. If I didn't have my pocketbook set on a Saunter, I would have had a hard time passing on this BOTM. Really cool knife.

ChatGPT—a record of 0-3 isn't so great.
Now is the time to deal with AI. Before Skynet. While its still vulnerable dic.gif

I like the Sprints a lot. Great knives. I have an 840 Select and a couple of 842s. I had an 841 pro that I sold to a friend. I like the micarta. Not sure about aluminum. Its a good looking knife. Almost talking myself into one, but I think I'll pass this time. Real life pics when they come in

The only hangup I've got with the Sprint is the liner lock. I got bit pretty bad by a non-Buck liner lock a few years ago and swore them off after that.

Which Saunter are you looking at?

Easy pass for me...non-reversible clip is a no go. It's a shame as I really like the model, and would already have the burlap and carbon examples IF the clip were reversible.
Still waiting on the Vantage...

Following the pattern I'd say you are correct:

J - fixed
F - folder
M - folder
A - fixed
M - folder
J - folder

Well, not a fixed blade.

Never been a fan of this knife. Just don't like the way it looks.

As for this particular version, aesthetically this knife is a round peg in a square hole. Also, not very imaginative. The 2021 July Spitfire has the same color scheme but done better.

The one glaring area is at the back spacer. On the 2021 July Spitfire, the colors at the backspacer are red, silver (white), blue. With a worn look to both the red and blue color. Which lends to all three colors having a nice blended/worn look (great war torn look, brings up images to the minds eye from the Star Spangled Banner - we are honoring Independence Day).

With this 841 Sprint Pro, the colors are red, black, silver (white), blue. And because the red color and the black pocket clip, at the back spacer area, do not have the same worn treatment as the Spitfire, it makes the backspacer look worn out / scratched up (look at the second to last picture). Instead of a purposeful design element as seen on the 2021 Spitfire.

As I said, I don't like it. But now I'm excited about next mouth all over again.

BRING THE COUNTER BACK ! ! ! Buck, please add back in the functionality to see how many knives are sold/remaining. That's half the fun !

It did just as well as anyone else on this thread did. Technically it was only 0-1 since it was only on the third attempt when I opened it up to knife models on the web site. The 841 has not been a past BOTM so the 841 wasn't an option on the first two guesses.

I have used it for several weeks and realize it has serious limitations. Hallucination is a big problem. I have asked it for scientific references to back up information it has provided. It makes up a very plausible reference, but the actual study it referenced doesn't exist. It simply made them up similar to your lawyer illustration. Chat bots are interesting, but everyone should realize their current limitations. I only used it here in jest.
