Buck of the month!

That was a good idea to make a monthly custom knife, going to be interesting to see what other knives they offer for future monthly customs.

Cool! It is even a little less expensive than the same configuration in the Custom Shop. :)

I would not be surprised if the 100 are sold out within a week.

Edit: Well ... a day is within a week ...

Na. .they will be gone in less than a week. Drop point 110's are always in demand and nickel silver frame is a plus. .

I was surpised this model did not seem to have a nail nick.

I agree, this is a great deal on a drop point 110.

very good idea. nothing like creating some more exclusivity. very smart marketing imo. almost always works on me.:) im in for some of these month knives.......

They were just live on Facebook and said they sold out.
But there is an entry to win a signed version HERE.

Just went to BuckKnives.com to order, SOLD OUT!! I didn't expect them to go that fast. Guess I'm a snoozing looser. Now I wish I had bought when the email arrived.

I'm hoping that this new 'Buck of the Month' might turn out to be a nice subset to collect and I think because of the Facebook angle Buck is reaching out to folks who might never join the BCCI or be a part of the forum here a chance to buy a special Buck.

I think we're going to find very, very few end users, meaning us here, ever had a chance to buy one directly from Buck. I'll bet ebay resellers bought most to dribble out on line. ..AND I bet most of them knew about the sale before hand maybe even before the email went out from Buck......
Mr Hubbard or anyone from Buck PLEASE, PLEASE consider putting a fair limit to any one buyer on the remaining Buck of the month knives for this year. I would suggest a limit of 5 knives or less. This would give the rest of us a slight chance of actually being able to add one to our collection! Because this is a Facebook promotion (I'm assuming ) Buck intended for us, the true collectors and folks who love Buck knives, to be able to buy a special limited knife. I'm hoping that this new 'Buck of the Month' might turn out to be a nice subset to collect and I think because of the Facebook angle Buck is reaching out to folks who might never join the BCCI or be a part of the forum here a chance to buy a special Buck. I sure hope this program does not turn out like the build outs have where a few wealthy buyers/resellers can and will buy up most of them and then turn around and double and triple the price to us the folks who really love them. I understand some folks make there living buying and selling Bucks and I'm ok with that but I hope Buck can keep this promotion and distribution a little bit more fair to all.

If they made a whole bunch of them wouldn't that kind of put a damper on the exclusivity of them?

I think it’s a fair point that a quantity limit should be put on these and I’d actually limit it to one. With thousands of Buck fans out there, to set this up so someone could buy a dozen and then flip them is a bummer.
For the record, I saw them in time to get one but figured I’d hold out for a 112 another month instead and left it for someone else to nab.

A limit of 2 would make some sense.

I had plenty of time to buy after the email, but I just ordered a couple other 110s so passed.

100 is a small run, but the idea of cornering market and sleeping on a pile of limited edition buck knives has some appeal.

I could have been the king of the first months edition of the Buck of the month knife. I would wear them in a bandolier like Pancho Villa, when not using the sack of knives as a pillow.

You may all start to hate and secretly admire me next month.

Nobody knows that someone bought a whole bunch of them and is going to sell them on the bay?? Look how many people here have just said they wanted one and didn't jump in and get it. I got mine an hour after the email came thru, so I think if someone was going to jump in and get them all, I wouldn't have gotten mine. Remeber the email said there were only 100 being made? Why would you wait?

Nobody knew in advance. I was in the store today getting a couple knives and they had just found out about it and they are employees.
