Buck Suggestion Box

I'd like to see the option for upgrades. In other words, I could send in one of my knives and have it "customized" I've heard they've considered this but it's never come to fruition. I have a 110 that I really want Buck to put a drop point blade on, someday.

COSMO

I think that would a nightmare, trying to stock what you think everyone is going to want the most of. You probably couldn't afford the cost...Plus there's always Leroy Remer and others.... Why don't you build what you want in the Buck Custom shop? They have a drop point you can have for a choice...

? Armband, when was the last time you were on the Buck Custom Shop page? They are currently offering these
722 Spitfire
110
112
113
501
503
505
916
119

It's been some time... I know they have the 112's But I should have said 112's with some differen steel like Damascus or BG-42 and some good old wood... Like the old days...

My absolute favorite 112 blade is a drop point but it has never, ever been offered in the Custom shop for a 112. But I'm glad we have a choice of S30V. I just found out that Rams horn was offered briefly around 2015 but I missed that opportunity because I was not active for a while due to being severely bummed about part of my collection becoming missing. I think I've built a finger grooved burl Nickel silver S30V 112 7 or 8 times and if a drop point blade (especially mirror polished!!) was available I would have ordered it..
PS...If Buck still has a stash of 450 blades or even 482's or BCCI or even from the run for CnC..that would work .

I think if we keep nagging eventually Buck will give in and include a drop point option for the 112 in the custom shop.I hope it happens sooner than later,I am getting close to
retirement and once that happens I'll have to be more conservative in my spending.

Retirement! Tell me about it.....:(
Full tang 100 series but a caviat. 119 and above. I think the smaller knives should remain light and nimble.

I think the sales volume of a particular model generates options. Keeps the blood pumping.

the 110 being such a collectable we see lots of variations.

How about the 112 custom shop offerings with a drop point and the 112 Pro profile blades in a premium steel?

Classic catch 22. Because more options generate more sales.

Great thread, Does Buck ever publish numbers for knives made in the custom shop or build outs? It would be nice as a collector to know how many were out there if you're looking for something. Unless its a numbered run, Ive had a hard time finding out information like that.

Question: Buck even look at this thread? Or is it a waste of bandwidth.
Interesting thread tho.
