BUCKS AND BOURBON

I'm planning on trying an American single malt at some point. Not sure what's available around here. I never get past the scotch aisle
I have been trying to branch out from the scotches a bit more. I have had a few American single malts from Westward that have been very good. I did a tasting at the Portland airport when I had a long layover there. I really enjoyed the one that was finished in stout barrels.

How was “One”. I have stayed away from the masters keep for a bit because I was so disappointed with the Decades release.
The "One" is very good. I tend to be a fan of toasted barrel bourbons. I was hesitant to get it at it's high price tag, but knew the reason I didn't like the decades either was because it was a blend with Rye and bourbon. Ryes are usually just too spicy for me.

With that said. It is just a small step above the Elijah Craig toasted barrel, and the ECTB is about a third of the price and for me at least, relatively easier to find.

That table came out nice!
Did you fill the cracks with something?
I like the contrasting colors.
Thanks! I was happy with the final product. I did mix a purple mica powder with a clear tabletop epoxy to fill the cracks. Then sanded it back down again. 80, 120, 220, 320, 400, 600, 800, 1000, 2000, 3000. And then did two coats of the clear epoxy to help preserve it for decades to come. appreciate the positive feedback!!
