BUCKS AND BOURBON

Generalist Generalist matthewtstock matthewtstock It does have a lot of bark for being elk. That is what drew me to it.

GPyro GPyro I did not order this one from the custom shop. I fished it off of the bay but all its packaging/ sheath seems correct to me to be a legit custom shop knife. I have in the past asked for more bark on some of my orders and they came out fantastic.

I only buy elk handles in person or used for that reason. I prefer bark but many are much more smooth and light colored. Congrats on a great find!

I hear ya. I like the appearance of both smooth and bark, but I’m in the minority for liking the smooth ones. It is definitely a gamble ordering them sight unseen. I have received from no bark to lots of it. It would be nice to have an option when ordering to specify which you would like.
 
I've heard you can make a request. I guess you call them with the order number and they can then note it on the order.
Of course no guarantees...... And I heard it somewhere, but I don't know for sure.
