Buck's Poor Service

Buck has always shown superlative customer service in my many experiences with them.

Well I sure dont want to get into a big contest in regards to exactly who did what wrong or right and who may have totally messed up on this, because that kind of argument never ends with any agreement. I eagerly accept any part of blame I may be due on this.
I appreciate the fact that Waltz posted again although we do not agree on all of the points brought up and probably never will.
The "big lie" ? I can promise you this, I am not smart enough, nor do i have the energy, to play games like that. I really was just trying to help.

It may help you to know that the "VICE PRESIDENT OF CONSUMER SERVICE", he spoke of in his last post was me, although my actual title is the Director of Consumer Relations. (Thought i got a promotion there for a momment!)

But seriously,
I am not planning to "ban" anyone for expressing their views on this forum. We always welcome honest feedback on our products and service. I am comfortable with the fact that no one is perfect and that everyone makes mistakes. Lets just keep the conversation civil and don't get personal. If the whole point of talking about something is to solve a problem, then a civil tongue, or "typeing fingers" in this case, always works best.

If the point is to belittle and win an argument, I believe they actually have forums for that although you will never find me there. I am just too sensitive a guy for that kind of abuse!

Joe,
I would say at this point. Go ahead and lock up this thread. I believe all has been said that probably needs to be said. Can't see anything productive by leaving it open.

I know for appearance sake, you would not close it on your own.

So here is one vote that it be closed.

I don't understand your idea that threads should be closed as soon as we can't think of a reason to leave it open. There is no reason to close it.

I received a call from Chuck Buck today and we discussed the problem I had been having with the knife store. He was very kind to take the time to call me and discuss the issue with me. Not just every executive will even bother to have his assistant drop a note let alone call a customer personally. Now this is what I call customer service.

It seems that the Buck store is/and/or was in California which is not business friendly and is in the process of being moved to Utah. This explains the rude and surly service I received. Apparently there must some disgruntled employees at the old store if I read between the lines correctly.

Anyway, Chuck Buck's call was above and beyond what I expect in customer service.

Thank you for your call Mr. Buck and you have recruited a confirmed Buck customer for life. No complaints from me. It is a pleasure to retract any and all demeaning remarks I made recently about Buck Knife store and Buck's service.

Sincerely,
Waltznjack
