Hey John have ya ever thought of making something like this before ?

I think I might like it more without the V notch in the middle.

It could be made either way. Is the cap lifter backwards, or is it just me? Let`s figure out some specs, you guys know I`m going to make it.
 
Great idea! I have a widgy bar in my pocket at all times. The only thing I don't like about it is that I can easily bend it. One roughly 4 inches long and 3/4 to 1 inch wide would be fantastic!

I think it would work fine either way.

I actually like the idea of a 3" OAL tool with no sharpened edge.
 
The one I drew up came out at 4 1/4" but maybe it should be slightly smaller, what's everyone else think ?
 
The more I look at this, the more I like the idea. Good job pitdog! :thumbup:
 
The cap lifter seemed backwards to me too John. I tried to think it out, but I'm to tired right now.

Forge scale would look GREAT on one of these too

Your right John I guess the cap lifter is the the wrong way !:o


Just checked again and it's the other way on my multi-tool but the same as the drawing on my cork screw/bottle opener ?????
 
I've got a wine opener that has a cap lifter just like pit drew it. You approach the cap from the top and lever it down. It works perfectly, just puzzling the first few times you use it.
 
I would think reversing the cap lifter would make the top prong of the nail puller stronger. The cap lifter would also be more intuitive if reversed.

I think it's important to keep a blade on the opposite side but you could add a can opener in place of the cap lifter, I think can openers are harder to do though !!!!!
