I know everyone here loves the Sebenza,
but if you could change anything about the Sebenza (besides the price), what would make it better for you?

For myself:
A Spyderco style thumb-hole
A different clip made for tip-down carry.
A flat-ground blade.

Happy hunting,
Allen.

I would agree on the first two, flat grand
ground blade doesn't matter to me.

To send a already great knife to the next level,a better egro handle. An handle like the Commander and the blade of a Sebbie,Oh heaven I only could dream:eek:

For me, I would like a little more ergo on the handle of the large regular model, swedge, double thumbstuds that more rounded, tip down pocket clip, and maybe even a ti backspacer.

But, I also like them already in there present condition:)

If it ain't broke...don't fix it! The Sebbie is fine the way it is. Why mess with perfection?

I agree with PWork. :D

But. . . if there were "mod's" that could be added to the basic knife. . .

Here is my list of options:

1. Spyderco type thumb-hole
2. Rounder, wider, flatter thumbstuds (like Mayo installs on his mod'd Sebbies)
3. 3/4 ti backspacer
4. Tip-down carry

Swedges should not be an option. . .it should be the standard. :D

Damn. . .for got to add. . .

5. Carbon fiber inserts. :p :D

I wouldn't change a thing. I love my sebbie the way it is. I strongly prefer tip up carry and while I like the Spydie hole I find the Sebenza thumblug to be just as easy to use and it offers a slimmer overal packages because of it (no large hump to contain that hole)

I do think a carbon inlay model like the classic wood inlays would be cool, and I do like the look of the Mayonized Seb's with the holes and color.....but overall, I wouldn't want anything changed to the basic design.

I wouldn't want a backspacer. All it would do is provide a place for dirt to collect. The frame is rigid enough already.

There are just two little things that I would suggest: 1) tip down clip; 2) standard dual thumblug.

Option for tip down clip
3D contoured handles
Torx screws in stead of current screws

The rest is perfect. Don't change anything...

slight reprofiling of blade belly ala Tom Mayo treatment.
dual thumblugs
no backspacer

If I had to pick one:

- Contoured handles

Other things I'd like:

- Standard dual thumb studs like Mayo uses

- A more scratch resistant bead blast, like Mayo uses

- Different color options for anodized frames

A simple extension of one of the slabs at the rear in an opener format. That would be right on time...

Professor.

Double thumb studs standard
No clip or clip recess as an option
I'm out :)
