Build a better Sebenza...

My EDC is close to what I could consider an ideal Sebbie: large lefty, scallops ground off, tip down carry, double thumb studs:

Great watch too Greg ! Officine Panerai Marina... I'll be in Florence in May..

Thumb disc opening would make it perfect, or at least dual thumb studs opening with thumb studs that are not so pointy. The pointy thumb stud that is on them now is the only thing that is keeping me from buying one . . .

Really echo the idea of a wharncliff blade on this knife-I seems like the perfect size for one...also maybe a pocket clip and just plain handles as an option-just my opinion-Tony

what I mean is... Mayo takes a Sebbie and does things to it. don't go thinking nasty thoughts here :)

such as making holes in it, putting on a ramped stud, and refinishing it in some exotic manner plus making it sharper than from the factory. don't know what else he does to them but the sebbie comes back looking better than new.

hope i make sense :) :) :) Ciao

There are times when playing with my Sebenza that I wish the grooved thumb rest notches were not smooth and were all at a right angles to give more purchase like Dozier and Spyderco non-slip thumb rests do. At times I find my thumb slipping uncomfortably forward unless I make a deliberate effort to stop it. And of course, a less pointy thumblug seems desirable. This all doesn't mean that the Sebenza isn't a marvel of a knife.

Double thumblugs or a spydie hole should be standard. Never know when you'll need to access the knife with your off hand. Flat ground blade should be an option as well as swichable clip to give choice as to tip up/down carry. Otherwise sebbie is perfect as is.

Easy, a Sebenza with a 4.25", 3/16" stock blade with a hand applied, satin finish, and less pointy, tritium inlaid thumbstuds... Or did I go too far with the tritium... :)

While we're at it, some Strideresque flame striping... :)

Here's something I forgot the first time around. I wish CRK would lose the scallops on the front part of the handle of the large regular Sebenza. They are uncomfortable and do not seem particularly functional.

Is the thumb stud user removable, & would the hole be big enough to use as a Spydie hole?

To answer your questions, no and no, in that order. ;)
