One of my favorite parts of what I do is when I get to see the beautiful knives that all of you make using my handle materials.
I try to supply really nice wood, but it is nothing more than a block of wood until you turn it into something beautiful.
I thought this thread would be a fun way for the makers to show off some of their better knives and for the rest of us to see a lot of cool knives all in one place.

Here are the guidelines for the contest
The prize will be a $200 store credit in the burlsource.us web store.

To enter the photo contest post a single photo of a knife that you made using wood that you got from me. Any info about the knife and handle material is encouraged. But please post only one photo, showing the whole knife. If you mistakenly post a photo using materials obtained elsewhere you will be asked to delete the photo.

To keep things fair please limit your entries to one photo posted a week.

The winner will be selected using a random number generator.
(example: if there are 150 posts then the range of 1 thru 150 will be used and the generator will select a number within that range).

The first drawing will be on New Years day. As long as the entries keep coming in the drawings will be repeated monthly.
Otherwise it could be discontinued if there is a lack of interest.

Please limit any posts in this thread to the contest entries.
While positive comments are fun, they will complicate the drawings for the winners.
If you mistakenly post a comment don't worry about it.

Note: in cases where a member has made a post to enter but has difficulties loading a photo, I will try to help and post the photo. If they have made a post that is their entry. If I they are unable to post, the post with the photo that I upload for them will be their entry.

Don't know if I'm qualified to play here. Not a knifemaker, but I've rehandled a number of Ka-Bar Beckers.

But this is the one I'm most proud of:

Blade Blank is an EnZo Trapper in FFG D2. Patina forced over a couple weeks in apple cider vinegar. (That stuff is very nearly stainless.)

Handle is stabilized California Buckeye Burl. Shaped with drill press, dremel, and hand tools.
Bonded with CA glue to yellow G10 liner, sheet copper pinstripe, copper and mosaic pins with a copper lanyard hole. Pinned and epoxied to tang.

When my experimental matching split-and-bonded fire-steel handle broke, you (Mark) were kind enough to send me a small piece of matching buckeye burl - so that (along with a matching copper lanyard hole) is what's on the rod.

Whether I qualify or not - thanks for running the GAW. I drool over your wood offerings every week, but very rarely have available funds and time to do another one of these.

Here's an oldie but favie, a blade finished from an early 1900's forged Sabatier blank, with bog oak.

This was a piece of maple burl I got from you a while back... split the scales right down the middle and finished off two nice blades with it. :D
