I never did get a finished picture of this kitchen knife but even in it's rough stages, it was one of the prettiest pieces of wood I've gotten from you to date! LOVE your Koa!!

My personal edc. Z-wear steel (I really like it) and compression curl Koa. The chatoyance is the best of any knife I've seen to date.

This knife is by Terri Parker in Australia. She is the wife of Adam Parker, who many of you know.

New week, new photo.

Original post here:

Blade Steel: 01 from my friend and yours, Aldo, finished to 1200X
Blade Length: 9.75" to the guard, 9" edge
Guard: Antique wrought iron with black G10 and Stainless spacers, As time passes and the iron darkens the spacers will start to pop.
Handle: Stabilized, figured Claro Walnut from Mark at Burl Source with 316SS pin.
OAL: 15.25"
Hand-stitched leather sheath

Still plenty of time for more entries before the drawing on the 1st.
Even if you have already posted a photo, if a week has gone by you can post another.
It just needs to be a different knife and the handle material needs to be wood from BurlSource.us
Good Luck Everyone. Winner gets an instore credit of $200 that you can use whenever you see new wood that you like. As long as lots of new photos are being posted the drawing will be repeated in the months to come.

There will be lots of new wood coming in the new year.
Right now there is Redwood Burl, Maple Burl, Eucalyptus Burl and some more Tasmanian Blackwood at K&G getting stabilized.
Also figured Mango, Hawaiian Koa, Maple Burl, Walnut Burl, Karelian Birch, Tasmanian Blackwood and a variety of other unusual Australian woods coming from a variety of my friends/suppliers over the next two months. Also a big batch of 100+ more pieces of Ancient Bog Oak.

Thank You Everyone for making 2016 an enjoyable year.
Merry Christmas and I hope 2017 becomes your best year yet.

Here's the second knife I made with some burl I had my mother order for my father's knife. I gave her your website and told her to pick whatever she thought dad would like. I put it over 1/8" ivory G10 liners and elmax steel. I've got a couple others in the upcoming batch with wood from you as well. Dad loved his knife. It was his Christmas present last year. Unfortunately I've done a terrible job of photographing most of my work to date. I just dabble with it here and there as a hobby between work, hunting, and family time.

Here's a drop point I finished recently with Tasmanian blackwood, 0.130 AEB-L, and some brass.

Time for the drawing to see who wins the in store credit of $200.
The store is empty right now but there will be lots of cool wood coming back from K&G very soon.

The winning number was #32. That won't work because it was a comment. So we will draw a new number.
