Burnt with Patina

It is indeed Christian. And you don't seem to have any average knives in your collection, just choice ones!:D

Here's a 25 of mine, very lucky to have won it in a GAW. Would never part with it, but some people seem to sell off knives they've won, odd.

WOW! GEC need to make those again!

+5K!! That stag #25 is simply exquisite, Will!:thumbup:
(I also agree, Will, that "won" or gifted knives are generally knives to be kept; at least for me, each such knife has quite significant sentimental value.)

Appreciate the comments Sogflash & 5K. I like the drop-point blade on this and would revel in seeing GEC put out some more, very hand style.

Thanks, Will

Hi Jeff - I'll play! Here's a 73 I got last year from fellow forum member Sonnemann.

Very nice, Keith, thanks for popping in. Looking at your photos reminded me of just how much a stag #73 looks like a much older knife. With the great stag and some "color" on the blade, and maybe more so because it is such an iconic pattern, your knife looks like it could be a hundred years old. Great stuff.

Great-looking knives

Hope these qualify, Harrison Brothers & Howson Admiralty Pattern 301, Taylor's Eye Witness Sheepsfoot, and a TEW Pruner :)

Thank you Jeff - good to see you're still around my friend! I wonder in how many other hobbies the comment "Your [blank] looks like it could be a hundred years old" would be given as a compliment? (And I do take it as that). ;)

Here's a 76 that I think qualifies for this thread. I always intended to make the pen blade into a small sheepsfoot/coping blade but haven't got around to it yet. I know you've done that on a few knives, as I have - the good ole "nicks both on the mark side" and "a clip and straight edged blade" in one package.

Nice Keith, glad to see it's still kicking. That one had one of the best even, medium pulls on a #73 I've ever seen.

Thanks Steve! Yup, she's still going strong - great knife! And yes, absolutely the nicest pull of any 73 I have or ever have had. I've doctored a couple of mine to un-stiffen them, and while they're quite a bit better than they were, they don't match the smoothness of the one I got from you!

Yes, suculent look to that Outlaw Jack! The Stag reminds me of sizzling crisp fat on a fine grilled Lamb chop:D:thumbup:

They are quite a rare knife and under appreciated I feel.
