Burt Foster Little Bowie

I run into this a lot, I sell high-end fossils for a living, a few times over the years, I have been in the right place at the right time, with enough cash to pick up some very good deals, and so, on some specimens, I may get $1,000 or more, for something I paid $100 or less for, of course sometimes I'm lucky to double, or even break even, it varies a lot, but, the question is never what the seller paid, but what the market will bear, it's like I have told people, if someone was foolish enough to sell you ounces of pure gold at $25 per ounce, well, you wouldn't sell them for that, would you? :)

The seller of the Foster was in the right place at the right time, with the cash to buy the knife, getting the knife at Burt's list price, with no wait, is a good deal, if he can capitalize on this, why not? If nobody wants to pay his small premium, well, it won't sell, and he'll have to rethink his price, see, the free market works. :)

The irony is, I saw the knife minutes after it was posted on Burt's site and emailed him for it, only to find somebody had beaten me to it. :)

Good luck with the sale, too bad you can't keep it, when Burt said I missed it, I went and spent the $$$, :) so, unfortunately, this one won't be making its way into my hands, but whomever's hands it does, will be lucky hands!

Unless you are making an offer to buy this knife, please refrain from making any derogatory comments in this, or any othe for sale thread.
