Thanks guys!

This one almost stayed with me, I liked it so much. The Bush-Ido is kinda my interpretation of a woodsman's waki. Fast and sharp!! See my thread in the Maker's Gallery for more photos and pics of it in use.

5/32" thick.
12 1/4" cutting edge, 1 1/2" at widest, rough forge/etched finish.
5 1/2" handle, hemp wrapped w/ leather backing scales, epoxy soaked.
18" OA length.

Price $625 shipping included. Paypal or Int'l Money Orders accepted.

The ambidextrous sheath utilizes a "frog" system for easy removal from your belt. The sheath itself can be simply tied into a waist sash with the attached leather cord. I can provide alternate frogs for baldric, horizontal carry, etc... for an additional price.

oh man, good stuff...wow! you don't take trades do ya? i mean it'd have to be a box of production knives...

 Very nice!

I have never held a knife with a hemp wrapped, epoxy soaked handle. How long do you think it would last with fairly frequent, moderate to heavy use?

Thanks!

on the Edge,
It has been soaked in epoxy.... think of it as hemp micarta, now. It is completey sealed from the elements, all the way through the wrap, not just coated. I used West Systems Special Finish Epoxy... good stuff.

Thanks for the compliments, guys!

Wish that I could buy this one instead of give you another compliment, but that knife is really fine looking. I am reminded a bit of Tai Goo when looking at the functionality of the blade. That is good stuff.

I handled this one at Ricks and I was a bit skeptical of the full hemp wrap when he first told me about it. However, this one has thick leather slabs between the tang and wrap making it a very full and comfortable grip. It feels as good as a shaped knife handle and looks very classy in person.

This is one hell of a blade! I already have a Wildertool from Rick and couldn't say enough about the performance of his forged blades. They work as good, if not better, then they look!

Thanks guys, I am going to be doing a lot more handles like this in the future. The wrap behaves just like linen micarta... when it gets wet, there is an actual increase in grip.

Ken, are you lookin to get on the marketing team payrol or sumthin?... lol.... thanks, bro.

bttt.......

I have wrapped smaller pieces with hemp/epoxy and it is nearly indestructable. I may try that on a large piece. That is one hell of a blade.

Wish the wallet would allow for it. Super blade and the leather is really great too.
