Just can't believe they interrupted my football game as it was a 7 point game and Seattle had the ball....... Blip!......... News time! What the?!!!! Then we watch somebody sign papers for 10 minutes!!!! Broncos won anyway but talk about BAD TIMING! I just wonder how far the Gore side will push it. 'Squeaky wheel gets the grease', 'He who whines loudest gets to be president.(?!)' I think I'd rather have those two minutes back in the game and no president...... Anarchy RULES but Bush will do just fine!

Great news!

Been watching CNN and MSNBC and saw a sign: "Gore is a Chad Molester". Best I've seen so far.
 
Gore is so dumb ~ he'll contest.....thinking that it will buy him more time "stuff" the ballet boxes.......

I guess after the dimpled thing they will have to go to DNA testing? How Low will we go.... (5 years from now on the 597th mandatory recount Gore will win the 2000 election; by then someone else will be in office)

 
not2sharp has a good point there....so algore is a loser......we knew that all along!! what we have to worry about is a lot like the devil....its not that he already lost...thats a given.....we gotta watch out for who hes going to drag down with him!!! the thing that BLOWS my mind is that 48 percent of the people WANT him to be the leader of the free world.....NOW that IS SCARY!!

Know why?

Because either candidate is gonna have half the country pissed at them, and whoever gets elected has a much greater chance of being assassinated than the loser...

The damage has been done. I voted for Bush, but at this point I wanted him to concede. At this point neither candidate can govern effectively. For the next four years whatever party that lost will start the "he won on a technicality". Al Gore as President would only hurt the Democrats more than help.
He doesn't have a Democratic Congress or a clear mandate from the people to get his agenda accomplished. Bush doesn't have a mandate from the people either, but the Republicans have control of the house,barely.
I feel Bush would have come out better by conceding and winning in 2004 easily. Just my humble opinion. The pleasant thought here is that this effectively ends Al Gore's political career, he almost had to win the Presidency. Any other office would be a step backwards.

Mandate, my aching @$$. The only mandate any leader needs is, from the President on down to a workfloor supervisor, is to step up front, say what needs doing, and set his staff to work on it. If he knows what's going on, he'll get the respect he needs.

The worst thing any President can do, is to apologize for winning. Landslide or squeaker, he is The Man. Let's see what he's got for a program, and which Congressmen he can get to work with him. (Congressmen need to show results, too.)

Forget about conceding and then coming back next time. Everybody pats a good loser on the back -- and then walks off and ignores him.
